When the Fireflies Dance
Aisha Hassan
As we celebrate South Asian Heritage Month, I’m reminded how I’ve always taken pride in our rich storytelling culture. I grew up mesmerised by my grandmothers' heroic tales from ancient texts, their inspiring experiences of starting over after the Partition, and the daily dramedy of living with aunts, uncles and cousins galore. With so many of us craving the sense of community that these stories evoke, here are some of my favorites—from inspirational tell-alls from South Asian achievers to sagas of struggles against adversity to love, laughter and the beauty of ordinary moments. —Lavina Khemchandani, Audible Editor
