There are so many great reminders of what it takes to be a good leader in this audio book. It is smart, well laid out, and easy to understand. I've taken several webinars regarding this subject and nothing beats just having the facts plainly put and accessible to everyone. Straight forward and thoughtful, I recommend this audio book to anyone in a leadership position, whether just starting out or well into their career.

Tons of Top Tips for Being a Better Leader!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know how to get more out of work colleagues or just from every day life. There are so many tips here that really struck a chord with me. I've read a couple of guides before that said they would give advice on being a leader but this book really breaks it down for you and gives so many examples of how you can take action. From planning better, setting goals or how you interact with people it all helps and just makes so much sense.

Which character – as performed by Joshua Mackey – was your favourite?

The narrator was excellent and did a great job of making the book come to life. He placed emphasis where it was needed and was always engaging.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I listened to this all in one go on my commute to work.

Any additional comments?

Whether you're in charge of people or just want help dealing with family and friends this book is very good at providing information on how you can deal with situations and provide leadership. It really helps you understand how important it is to try and identify with every individual and be more aware of how best to approach each situation.

Like opening a treasure trove...

Would you listen to Leadership: The Top 100 Best Ways to Be a Great Leader again? Why?

Yes, I would. Leadership presents a huge amount of information in a great point-by-point format. Even though I was making notes, the pace is fast and so much knowledge is being imparted that I think this book deserves a second listen. After all, there's no point in being inspired if 90% of what you hear is lost or forgotten.

What about Joshua Mackey’s performance did you like?

Amazing narration. Leadership is such a fast paced read, which Joshua delivers with a depth of enthusiasm that breeds engagement with the listener. There's a lovely moment where he illustrates a point by talking in a dreary voice, which was such a contrast that it had me giggling out loud.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did!

An excellent book for anyone who wishes to lead and nurture others, whether at work, in the family or in a social context. Primarily it's a walk through the character traits needed to become a great leader and so much in there is pertinent to all aspects of life. This book is for you if you want to lead, rather than 'manage' people and want to be inspirational, effective and affirming. My favourite of the 100 "ways" was to ask questions of yourself and your people, but to ask questions about *solutions*, not about problems.

Great tips on how to be a great leader

Becoming a great Leader can completely change your life. Imagine if, rather than following others, you were the one making decisions about the your life was run. That is what this book can make available to you - a way to empower yourself and take control of your life.

It does this by setting out clear strategies for improving the manner in which you interact with people and these enable you to become a better and more effective leader.

In contrast to many books on Leadership, this audiobook goes further than the theory, or giving numerous examples or recounting the well-worn anecdotes. Ace McCloud throws in tip after tip, covering everything you need to be an effective leader in any organisation.

What does Joshua Mackey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Once again Joshua Mackey lends his vibrant tones to this audiobook. The result is that the whole reading is a pleasure to listen to.

I really appreciated the advice on the core life skills which will enable anyone to form their inner leader first before unleashing it on the outside world. Another great section is that which deals with the inevitable stresses and strains that leadership can throw at you.

Perhaps the key area that this book covers is about how to foster a productive rapport with those around you and to develop really helpful habits.

Become a great leader!

I found this audio-book an excellent listen, and highly motivating. Particularly, the exercises included were really helpful in building and increasing my leadership skills such as organization and communication. These exercises included questions you can ask yourself and strategies you can put in place to maximize efficiency and achieve goals.

Ace McCloud shares some of his favorite videos and resources that complement the teachings in this audio-book and provide great tools for building confidence and motivation. I also found the quotations on leadership very inspiring.

Whether you're a manager or not, leadership skills are essential to be successful in life, and this audio-book provides simple advice and guidance on how to be the best you can be.

a useful guide to leadership skills

Where does Leadership: The Top 100 Best Ways to Be a Great Leader rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I am becoming a bit of an Ace McCloud/Josh Mackey groupie - the books are always concise and well written, and beautifully read by Mackey. This one is right up there with my favourite so far which was his great book on health.

What other book might you compare Leadership: The Top 100 Best Ways to Be a Great Leader to, and why?

I think it is a good book in its own right. I don't ever read books to compare them to another one, I read them for their own individual approach and take on subjects.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Not entirely applicable as this is a non fiction title, but the idea that leadership skills can be learnt, and that with perseverence and the right attitude to learning you can become a great leader is encouraging.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

not as such, but it was thoroughly enjoyable and a great addition to my incar library.

Successful leaders affect and inspire other people and this book can help you become a great leader too! You can learn how to focus on your goals, deal with obstacles and be self-motivated. This book also teaches you how to develop your leadership skills and planning skills.
An excellent advice on how to motivate your employees by learning a few tricks (such as giving bonuses!) can be found in this book.
Finally you can learn how to be adaptable, committed and solutions driven.
