Summary

The number-one rule of the career search is that you should break the rules.

Getting a job you really want with a company you love is something we all dream about, but few of us ever achieve it. Good jobs are hard to come by, and competition is fierce.

What if there was a way to make an incredible impression, stand out from the competition, and win an interview for a job for which you didn’t even apply?

Learn what 90 percent of your competition doesn’t know.

In this audiobook, you will learn:

  • How to land an interview without even applying for the job
  • How to find and contact decision-makers at all levels of the company
  • How to make a lasting impression and convince them you deserve a place with their company

You will become a pro at interviewing:

  • You’ll learn how to identify and avoid the most common mistakes that many of your competitors are making
  • You’ll be able to understand the hidden motivation between many of the questions your interviewers ask you
  • You’ll master the most effective ways to land an interview, make an excellent impression in the interview, and follow up after the interview
  • You’ll be able to crush the most commonly butchered answers to questions like “Tell me about yourself” and “What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?”.

This audiobook also contains more than 50 practice interview questions, including:

  • Situational and behavioral questions (Tell me about a time when...)
  • Questions you should ask the interviewer
  • Difficult questions and how to give a perfect answer (like, “Why were you fired from your last job?”)

Discover a new way to approach your career search. You don’t have to be at the mercy of recruiters, and your resume doesn’t need to get lost in a pile of hundreds of others just like it. Even if you lack experience or face massive amounts of competition, you can get your dream job.

What an important topic

What an important topic ... and one not often addressed. Introverts have so much to offer ~ to the workplace and to the world ~ but are most often on the quieter side when it comes to touting their own strengths. Good work here! If you are one of the 'introverts' out there, you will enjoy this book and gain benefit from it as well!

Amazing book. Fantastic Writer.

This book is impressive. I slanted such tremendous quantities of effective things from this book. These formulas are very flavorful. I love this book. I truly appreciate perusing this book. If you are keen on consolidating increasingly delectable, tasty dinners that will enable you to carry on with a more beneficial life, I urge you to buy this book. I profoundly prescribe it for anybody looking. I was truly amazed by seeing what number of basic proposals gathered in such a short book. Maker finished a wonderful movement. I'll probably endorse this book to my friends and family. I Really value this book. Because of a maker.

This practical and inspirational book

This practical and inspirational book is full of great advice, tools and real-life examples, all presented in an interactive style, which I really like. It takes my job searching thoughts and processes to a new level! It also presents many ways in which one can tap into the hidden job market, which is something I really wanted to learn more about. The concepts of The Wheel of Life and The Wheel of Job Search were new and very meaningful concepts to me. This book makes me feel strong and empowered in my search for the next step in my career!

The atmosphere created by this book

The atmosphere created by this book, the calm yet optimistic and reassuring tone, gives one the feeling that there's light at the end of the tunnel...I like the "wheel of life" the most... I've always found it difficult to sort through my thoughts and this helped me channel my wants and needs into clear goals. I also liked the idea of looking forward and adding intermediate steps between the job that I want and the one I can get now. I find it extremely efficient and helpful to put aside the fear of not being able to fulfill my potential.

If you are an introvert and lack the confidence

If you are an introvert and lack the confidence you need to find a suitable job for yourself, you should get this yesterday!
The book is very illustrative and has very good insights to teach you how you should approach your career. I particularly like the graphical illustration and charts and all that good stuff! It makes the boring text alive, and more understandable. Very well researched materials. You will definitely get your money's worth with this one. All the best in your job search!

I like this book a lot!

The author helped thousands of unemployed people find jobs and advance their careers. She is an expert and it shows all throughout the book. I have friends and family who struggle to find fulfilling jobs because they aren't 'Go-getters,' and I've come across very talented and skilled employees who because of their shyness won't get the opportunities that others take for granted. This is a book that I will highly recommend all of them.

Excellent career advice

Job searching can be very discouraging and overwhelming especially when the listed job ends up being way better on paper compared to interview. This book really helps to be aware and prepared how to come across as the best candidate.

A comprehensive resource for introverts!

This book is very comprehensive. I was pleasantly surprised by the volume of knowledge contained within. I especially liked the templates and the section on Pain Letters. These are new to me but I see how they would be extremely effective! As an introvert who is going through a major career transition, I will definitely be referring back to these tips. Thank you, Peter Lindor, for sharing your expertise.

You can use that time researching the type of job/company/environment that you'll be happy in - and be a natural fit for it. THANK YOU for this book!

This book is insanely good.

This book is insanely good. While other books tackle things like a resume, interview preparation and the like, this book addresses the core issues you are having trouble getting your dream job. It addresses how you feel about yourself and what you can bring to a company, which then you translate unconsciously in your speech and body language come to the interview. It's a really unique and amazing book. Feel free to chuck the other books, which regurgitate the same information with a different word sequence, in the bin.

Effective Job-Finding, For Introverts And Just Abo

This book is detailed - it isn't intended to be a 'fast listen' dispensing the same-old advice and easy answers. Instead, it takes a hard and serious look at a problem almost every adult will encounter in life: how do you sell yourself an ethical, honest and effective way? This book needs to be on every educator's, coach's, human resources manager's and entrepreneur's reference self. I'd also give it to any new grad or job-changer looking for how to put their best foot forward!

Overall good

After listening to this book, I feel like I have been given a secret key to success, so I can do things my way as an introvert while not stretching too far out of my comfort zone (or maybe more if I like!), and still, be respected and even sought after for my skills. I would have gladly paid ten times the amount for what I learned from this book. If you are an introvert having trouble finding a job or even looking to change careers, I would definitely suggest reading this book before you do anything else. It will save you time, money, and stress!

Useful book.

I cannot get over the wealth of information on job search for introverts presented in this book, and the best part is that it comes from one of our own--an introvert! In this book, Peter shares very insightful lessons she learned from her own job searches as well as the job searches of her clients, as she is now a coach. He understands the specific hurdles introverts face while searching for a job (and in life in general), and she gives unique ways and inspiration to overcome things such as the fear of meeting new people, our hesitancy to talk about ourselves and self-promote, interview stress, and more.
