50 Shades of Girl on a Train

'Perfection is flawed'
The narration was perfection, bringing the story and characters to life. Of course, nothing is perfect and everything has a flaw. All the characters have their flaws in this book and they were all battling in my head at one time for their status as the bad guy. I had no clue so the book won! I really enjoyed all aspects and I was always eager to get back to listening. I want to see this on the big screen, the house come to life and see if it is as alive as it felt in my imagination. I look forward to listening to more from this author.

When editor Susan Ryeland is given the tattered manuscript of Alan Conway's latest novel, she has little idea it will change her life. She's worked with the revered crime writer for years, and his detective, Atticus Pund, is renowned for solving crimes in the sleepy English villages of the 1950s. As Susan knows only too well, vintage crime sells handsomely. It's just a shame that it means dealing with an author like Alan Conway.... But Conway's latest tale of murder at Pye Hall is not quite what it seems.

Suspicious deaths are not usually the concern of PC Peter Grant or the Folly, even when they happen at an exclusive party in one of the most expensive apartment blocks in London. But Lady Ty's daughter was there, and Peter owes Lady Ty a favour. Plunged into the alien world of the super-rich, where the basements are bigger than the house and dangerous, arcane items are bought and sold on the open market, a sensible young copper would keep his head down and his nose clean. But this is Peter Grant we're talking about.
