Discover the Power of the Vagus Nerve

I was searching for ways to manage my anxiety and stress and I am so glad I had the opportunity to receive "The Vagus Nerve, Your Body's Superpower!" This audiobook was the answer to my prayers! So detailed!

This has been an absolutely amazing book to listen to. My husband has chronic ailments and I am constantly looking for a more holistic approach to alleviating the added anxiety, depression and chronic stress without additional medications. There is so much information coming at us from social media that it can be very difficult to know what is a sale pitch versus actual truth. In listening to this book, I felt that the author was forthcoming with as much information as possible that made complete sense. The book introduces the concept of the vagus nerve being the body's superpower that when toned and regulated, can help us communicate with our entire nervous system and promote overall health and healing.

I truly enjoyed chapter 4 which delves into the understanding of a dysfunctional vagus nerve and the author easily communicates to the readers how to identify the dysfunction and what can be done to properly restore it. With a book like this, I feel like I understand so much more and i feel that I am in more control of my body and mind than I had thought. I have been sharing this information with my husband and we now have a plan in place to start integrating what was learned from the book into our daily lives. Grateful to this author for such a wonderful book.

The Missing Peace ☮️

This book is like the missing puzzle piece to understanding how we experience peace in our mind and body. With a society filled with stress, we don’t focus enough on how to relax. As a yoga practitioner, I feel the peaceful affects of the breathing and postures, but this book brings it all together to explain why they feel so peaceful and many different types of simple exercises that you can practice anytime and anywhere. The author has a notable passion and scientific understanding for the topic and the narrating voice is also peaceful and matter-of-fact. I highly recommend this audiobook to help us all find our peaceful superpower of health wellbeing and happiness ☮️ !

Your internal communication superstar

This audiobook was so enjoyable to listen to and shed light on how the vagus nerve communicates with the whole body. We focus on external communication with others, but the way the various parts of our body communicate with each other is vital. I also discovered that the human body is incredible in how it self-regulates, and the vagus nerve is so important as it is instrumental in helping to calm the body. By undertaking the practical exercises in the audiobook, you can begin allowing your body to function more calmly and optimally.

Stress-Free Life

I really enjoyed this book. It talks about something important - how to feel better when life gets tough and this has helped me a lot. Interesting, Informative, Helpful

I chose this book out of curiosity something my cardiologist told me. During a very painful tooth issue, I began having anxiety attacks including shortness of breath, faintness and weakness. When I reported this to the doctor, he told me that it was a vagus nerve response to the pain, which could actually change my heart rhythm. Ever since then I have been curious about how that can happen. This book is a phenomenal source of information explaining the vagus nerve and its far-reaching effects on our bodies. It goes into various functioning areas of our bodies controlled by the vagus nerve in great detail, but yet in a non-technical way that most people can understand. The author then presents us with various exercises, some simple, some more complex in order to regulate this nerve's function when it goes awry, causing many unwanted symptoms. From the exercises, we are taken into mindfulness, meditation, yoga and several other body and mind relaxing techniques. I found it very interesting and helpful. Some of the simple exercises have already helped. In this extraordinarily stressful current state of our world, this knowledge is a must! Highly recommended read.
