The book is written in such a way that anyone from a beginner to an intermediate can understand its explanations and concepts. I have I found it to have concrete examples, and tools that are easy to follow and engaging, especially for readers that are new to the subject.
The author presented relevant studies that show how fasting can reverse several diseases and can even improve your health. Disease prevention such as diabetes, hypertension, stroke, high cholesterol, asthma, cancer is explained with concepts. It shows an alternate alternative to living off medications by making their lives better. Fasting as a stressor pushing the body to burn fat, improving insulin sensitivity giving the body pancreas a rest ad prevents from developing diabetes by giving the beta cells a rest. The author also touched on the spiritual aspect as well as mental aspect of fasting. A well needed addition to any library.

This topic is very interesting to me because my dad does fasting and told me about it before, but he didn't explain how everything works in the body and skeptical about it. As I look back the history of his health, it makes sense. I am so happy that I found this book. I learned a lot from this book. There are lot of health benefits of fasting and a lot of scientific studies and real world examples, making the case for fasting even more convincing. And there are different type of fasting including intermittent fasting, water fasting, and juice fasting which I found fascinating because I think someday I do water and fasting with my busy day without realizing it.

" Why You Should Fast" emphasizes the importance of individualizing fasting protocols to suit different needs and goals. It provides practical advice on how to choose the right type of fasting, how to prepare for and break a fast, and how to incorporate fasting into your lifestyle safely and effectively.

Overall, this book is an excellent resources for anyone interested in health benefits of fasting.

I actually got this book because of the subtitle. It made me a bit inquisitive. I am no novice, as I used to fast religiously, but I really wanted to understand the physical, mental, and of course, spiritual benefits of fasting.
I was not disappointed. The Author really took his time to explain in-depth the topic of fasting. I am now aware of how I can use fasting better my performance and abilities.
It's a really intensive, easy-to-listen, and well-narrated book.
