Summary

The teenage son of front-running US presidential candidate Senator JE Blackman is found horribly murdered in a Manchester apartment. Blackman knows that if the intimate details of the crime become public, his political ambitions will be in ruins. There can be no arrests, no trial.

The senator is one of the world’s richest men. Wealthy enough to make Washington dance to his tune and demand the CIA solve his problem. Their solution? Find a deniable operative. A man who knows the city and its criminal underworld. A man who will seek out the killers and dispose of them without a second thought. A damaged ex-SAS hero who will do anything if the price is right. A man called Rick Fuller.

Slightly disappointed

Having listened to all the other Rick Fuller books I was excited when this one was recently released.
As usual the characters are well described and the narrator does a good job of helping to understand their various personalities.
The story carries on naturally from the previous book and is quite gripping and not too easy to work out.
My grumble is that it all ends very quickly as though, in this case, the author either ran out of ideas or just got bored. I wanted to it to carry on rather longer as I like the way the stories are told in their individual parts by each of the main characters. It almost felt like it was the end of part one with part two to follow.

leaving it open for a follow on

I enjoy the characters in this series and the book continues in the same vein as its predecessors, but and it's a biggish but, the ending was too abrupt, leaving the reader to think well what next. Perhaps it's to allow for a follow up

Liistened to all 4 books. Narration the best I have ever heard . story races on very nicely . I shall miss Ricks disgust of supermarket clothing
Laurens s total bad assness and Deses shock at people stupidity.

Great Series

I've now 'read' four books of this series. I like the way the author moves from one person to another. I like the way the stories develop and I have not been able to turn off this book since starting yesterday. Nor the previous book before that ... for the two days before that to be precise. Can our heroes move on from this one ... oh I hope so !!!

Surely, this can't be the End of this series?

Surely, this has to be more than a 4 book series?

I have just finished book 4, in this excellent series. But Amazon, and Audible, say it is only a 4 book series. I love these 4 novels, but if it is really
the End, then it ends dreadfully! as it does not have a satisfactory ending. I am hoping the Author, Robert White comes to the same conclusion? and if
he really wants to bring this amazing series to an end, then he really needs to write one more novel in the series, to bring it to some kind of decent
conclusion! to wind up the series successfully!. So, to conclude my review. This is a great series, with excellent potential for more!. But if it is really
the end, then I feel cheated! and I wouldn't have bothered reading the first 3 novels.
