About this listen

One night, two crimes. A grisly murder. A vicious sex attack.

DS Ewan Striker is the best detective on the force. Unconventional and uncompromising, he is respected and feared in equal amounts. Tag Westland is a rookie. A rich boy who has realised that being a cop is not as glamorous as he first thought. In fact, he has his resignation in his pocket.

These two unlikely crime fighters are thrown together as it becomes apparent that each of their investigations are inextricably linked to something even more evil: a major terrorist attack.

The story was quite good, and overall I did enjoy the listen. However, the narrator ignored all changes of scene so that a conversation carrying on somewhere I

And then, without warning, somebody who definitely wasn’t present would be saying something because there’s been a change of scene, but absolutely no change in the tempo and no pause to indicate that we were now in a different place or time. This meant you had to disengage from the narrative to work out what was going on .

Irritating narration but not a bad listen

If swearing and extreme racism offend you to the core then don’t listen to this. Its a great story but very sad and extreme. Its good at putting both sides of the unrest.
The narration is fine, dont listen to the earlier reviews about it being rubbish.
It maybe an idea to have different narrators though for different books as I thought I was listening to a rick fuller book to begin with.
It was good to have Des as the link though and those littles threads made it interesting.
Great book and I will be reading the others!

Great story, very graphic, racism at its worst
