Story
An Underground carriage in London is destroyed by a suicide bomber. The injured and the dead litter the platform. But as a crowd forms at street level, Michael Pope knows that this is only the beginning. Pope, head of top-secret Group 15, is tasked with finding the perpetrators of this atrocity and bringing them to justice, any way he can. He knows that the answers to many of his questions will lie at the end of the money trail, but he also knows that whoever funded and organized the attack will kill again for their freedom.

An initial slow burn...
...which I found difficult to get into however, once I focussed on the story properly, I really enjoyed this fast paced story - and didn’t want to switch it off. I liked the way the characters developed through their own lenses, their relationships and principles. Interesting splattering if general knowledge and a satisfactory conclusion.

Outstanding narration but poor audible quality
This is an excellent story and the series promises to be good.
Unfortunately, the audible quality was not as good as it should have been. As each character spoke their story the volume decreased.
However, the narrator was outstanding.
Don't let the lowering of volume put you off choosing this book.

Brilliant story - pity about terrible performance
Brilliant book somewhat ruined by the performance.
Whispering unintelligibly at times and the accents are poorly performed. You also have no idea of the sex of the speakers until they are referred to.
However the story was very good and well worth a read if not a listen.

I didn’t get on with this book and gave up on it. The story didn’t grip me and seem overblown and I found the narrator tried to hard in getting the words over. Overall a pity but there you go perhaps it’s just me as others seemed to like it.
