Loves the story and the first voice actor!
However the second voice actor almost ruined for me 💩💩

Female narrator is great, male narrator sounds like a news reader, thankfully he only narrates the epilogue.

Shallow characters, predictable story, the FMC is not very bright… The generel story and its plot is so unoriginal. With four hours left I had to DNF…

I really enjoyed this book and the fences narrator was great. had to mark down a star though as the male narrator is so robotic reading and he takes a sharp inhale of breath at the end of every sentence which makes me feel sick when I had my earphones in. he only doesn't the epilogue thankfully. but I defo won't br listening to book 2 as it's dual narration and I can't bear it. I'll defo read book 2 to find out what happens

I found this to be a truly engaging story. The FMCs trauma is well depicted (do check trigger warnings and spice levels if that's not your thing). The female narrator is perfectly chosen.

great story, the woman performer is good. the man sounds like someone reading out facts. not a great voice for story telling. and his version of a girl sounds like a robot talking lol xxx hes terrible with his inflections. like a wildlife documentary lol. disappointing as the story is a good one and I love a 2 person performance usually. he doesn't come in till book 2. painful to listen to.

I enjoyed the story but I did struggle with Kat. such a stubborn woman, there were things that didn't make sense around family being so important, but she didn't know her sister was alive etc.
She was very bothered about Bastian's history and not so bothered about not telling her own truths.
I agree about the male narrator his breathing is all wrong. But it was similar for the male narrator in Trial of the Sun Queen & he improved or I got used to him?!, so hopefully he will improve if he is going to talk more!

Not for me. The FMC was so scared, too weak and too miserable. The MMC was too secretive, but not too bad... (cool shadow power, cool other power, barely used it). Loooong story, but gave very little of world building. Mostly just her pinning, being unsure and scared. Either give me more smut or more world/story development.
It was leading somewhere.... I am sure it will get beautiful later. I just got bored.
