"Fourth Wing will have your heart pounding from beginning to end ... A fantasy like you've never read before."Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author

Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders from USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Yarros.

Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.

But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away … because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.

She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.

Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.

Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.

Loved the story but the performance was strangely disjointed like she'd re-recorded bits - offputting

Great story, poor recording

The story truly lives up to the hype & definitely worth a credit.

The only thing I marked it down for was the narrators. The lady sounded like she had some nasal issues going on and there were some weird stops and background noises. The swap to the male narrator was just terrible. Thankfully it’s only the last chapter. It added absolutely nothing.

Great Story Poor Narration

Ok, so it’s been over 20 odd years that’s I’ve read any kind of Fantasy Book. I really wanted to give this a go, but after 3 attempts with the actual hardback, I knew audio was the way for me to go.

Story wise and how it’s been written, absolutely amazing! I’ve loved all the books I’ve read so far of Rebecca’s, so she draws you in from the very start. I was hooked and couldn’t stop listening. She has created something pretty special with this world.

My only issue was yes, the narrator was hit and miss for me. At times she sounded like she had a major cold or possible throat infection lol Her male voices weren’t much different to female voices, so I did have difficulty there, and the dragon voice was quite childish. However! When there were action packed scenes, this was where she thrived in her narration. It would have been nice to have had Teddy involved in a duet style with Rebecca the narrator, it felt like a waste with him just narrating the final chapter. I hope we have more of Xaden’s POV in the next book, Iron Flame.

Overall I’m so glad I have finally read this book that everyone is talking about, it was amazing!

What a ride!
