"Fourth Wing will have your heart pounding from beginning to end ... A fantasy like you've never read before."Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author

Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders from USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Yarros.

Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.

But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away … because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.

She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.

Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.

Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.

The story builds slowly but is never boring. Very catching gallery of persons, though a bit stereotypical. The graphic sexual descriptions in the last quarter of the book took me by surprise, and to be honest were a bit boring, plus now i wont recommend it for adolescents and kids, a target population i believe would appreciate the book.

Well written and gripping story -but with adult content.

I ate this up! The storyline is superb and I can’t wait to start iron flame BUT Rebecca Soler’s voiceover?!?! Hard pass… I’ve bought the physical book to avoid her voice over. The changes in pitch, tone, gruff seriously confused me. It’s like she forgot what character she was playing from time to time. Teddy being in it is the only reason I’m giving it a 2/5.

Loved the story, hated the voiceover

I loved this book when I read it, I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to reread it before reading the second book in the series so I decided to listen to it instead. The narrators did a great job of bringing the characters to life.
If you love a bit of fantasy romance with a few dragons and mythical creatures thrown in then this is the book one for you.

Great book

This has been such a fabulous book, and the best narration too. Cannot wait for the sequel.

Amazing!

Wow, what a ride. Rebecca Yarros wrote one heck of a story. Probably my favourite book of the year.

I really enjoyed the narrators. Especially Teddy Hamilton, whom could read me a shopping list and I would be fascinated.
I think Rebecca Soler did a stellar job and she is great as Violet.
But I have to make a point that I’ve seen others have. Why, oh why would you record a audio book when the narrator is so clearly unwell. The first 40%ish of the book I was considering giving up and reading my physical copy because I struggled so much. Listening to someone struggle to breathe and so full of mucus not only off putting from the story but also made me feel pretty queasy.
Surely it will need to be re recorded?!
If I love a book as much as I loved this one, I will listen repeatedly. But I just don’t think I can put myself through the torture as it is currently.
Once we get past the sickness and Rebecca is obviously feeling much better, it was a wonderful listen.

Absolutely incredible!
