About this listen

Free the crows, Fallon, and they will make you queen.

Until an oracle predicted my regal future, I'd never imagined myself rising above the curve of my round ears. After all, I was the magicless halfling loved by beasts but loathed by every pure-blooded faerie at court. Well...by all but one.

Dante Regio, prince of Luce, had owned my heart since he gave me my first kiss. If gathering a slew of iron relics could help me overthrow the current monarch and crown his brother to rule at my side, then treasure hunting I'd go.

If only the oracle had warned me what winged demon I was releasing into the world.

And that I'd become this demon's obsession.

Fans of Sarah J. Maas and Mary E. Pearson will devour this epic fantasy romance full of deceit, betrayal, and false loves that could swallow a person whole.

Critic reviews

"A fantastical delight of a book, rich with its imagination and lush with its storytelling." (RUNYX, author of Gothikana)

First of all the story is nice but what ruined it for me was the accent of the narrator. A story set in “middle aged” Italy read by a narrator with British accent. I mean she did a great job with the narration but I was picturing England throughout the whole story 😂 her accent was also hard to understand. I had to stop several times and relisten because I couldn’t understand her properly. I think in this case it might be better to read the book. But maybe other listeners have a completely different experience.

Enjoyable

The story ok, but the narrator pronounces so many words strangely. Quay, debris, lashes, palm. My goodness, I've never heard the word palm so many times in one story, and pronounced like that... well, it made the book into a wierder experience than was intended I'm sure.

Strange pronunciation

Average story, could have been so much better if Fallon wasn't quite as dense. The narrator cannot pronounce words correctly.

How many times can the word palm be used and mispronounced.

Very well written, did go on a bit, not enough romance for me but will give the next book in this series a go.

Long winded but worth it

A good book, The narrator was good but I found it a little bit off putting that a lot of words were mispronounced making me wonder if it was an American putting on an English accent

A good story
