Every character is well developed, funny, endearing and likeable.

Wish more fantasy books were like this and can’t quite believe I haven’t seen Rowan talked more about on booktok etc.

The story was great! I picked this book because of the female narrator. I loved her narration of ‘House of Beating Wings’, and her narration of this book did not disappoint. But it was the story that captivated me. I’m a sucker for a strong fmc and Rowan was definitely that. Her stubbornness was awesome and the way she could poke Evander even more so.

I did have quite the laugh when in the last book the male narrator imitated Rowan’s voice which was such a weird change in listening to the female narrator for the other three books. But his imitation of Rowan eventually grew on me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this journey. what started off with me thinking it was about a silly princess with love problems.. beautifully flourished into a brilliant story which was easy to follow and listen to.. Nice amount of love tension.. story.. and character development. I really do recommend. only thing I would to of like to of seen more, was the smutty scenes written in ehem... more depth and description.. but that's just me. and the narrator(both) were spot on!!!
