Summary

A fun, fresh tale of love, friendship and family secrets…

When Holly breaks up with her boyfriend Dean, she’s at a loss as to what to do next. But things go from bad to worse when her beloved grandmother Ivy dies – and Holly is left in charge of sorting out Ivy’s house and garden.

As she sorts through her grandmother’s belongings and makes her way through the wilderness outside, Holly soon finds that there is more to Ivy than meets the eye, and uncovers a surprising family secret that changes everything…

This is a heart-warming and hilarious story from Catherine Ferguson about starting over, learning to garden and most of all learning to love.

I liked the well rounded and likeable but realistic characters. Henrietta was hilarious and really made the book for me

Not for me

I don't like to give poor reviews but to read this you need to be the sort of person who believes that; 1 , someone who doesn't know the difference between delphinium and ragwort can get a job as a professional gardener and 2, someone who has never read a book can become an author.
Badly written and badly read. A waste of a credit

Pronunciation distracting

The name is Selena, say it correctly! Who would have the name “Celina”. Quite annoying the way the narrator mangles names and words. Also Prue’s character was voiced so annoyingly it was distracting.

Good read

it took me a few chapters to get into the book. Once I did I began to enjoy it and it was an enjoyable read. Good characters in fact I think the author could write a book about the antics of Mr and Mrs Chicken!
