About this listen

Menopause is not a disease!

Do you know the difference between menopause and the cessation of menstrual periods?

Are you trying to understand what your body and mind are experiencing right now?

Do you want to use the most recent scientific insights to challenge negative attitudes, understand yourself better, and learn how to help yourself?

If these questions interest you, then The Menopause Relief Paradox is the perfect listen.

In five concisely written chapters, you will learn how you can take advantage of recent scientific advances to live your life to the fullest. You will also discover a framework to have meaningful interactions with the health-care provider of your choice when answers to commonly asked questions are not satisfactory.

Inside The Menopause Relief Paradox, you will learn:

  • Why the symptoms you experience can be what they don’t appear to be.
  • How our diet impacts us more than we may realize.
  • The impact stress and trauma have on our body and mind.
  • What menopause is and whether varying factors affect women differently.
  • What you can do to go through menopause gracefully and meet your new self on your terms.

As women proceed through this stage of life, there are things that our body naturally goes through that can sometimes be overwhelming, confusing, and scary.

The stigma around menopause is often viewed with negativity; however, you now have the chance to understand what impact our environment, history, and diet have on perimenopause and menopause.

If you are ready to take control, learn fascinating details about your body to challenge received conceptions about aging gracefully, and recognize you are not alone, then The Menopause Relief Paradox is a book worth having and listening to.

I downloaded this audio book for two different reasons. A friend of mine has been struggling with menopause for a while now. Even though I will still have a few years before it starts for me, I want to be prepared and develop a deep understanding of what is happening in my body. Also, I want to be able to support my friend during this time.
I learned how menopause affects our bodies and minds, what the most common symptoms are, and how we can lower or minimize them. The book is well-researched, and the narration is excellent; it's a very entertaining listen. A big thank you to the author!

The intricate biochemical changes associated with menopause are clearly explained in detail in this audiobook. Ian explains how the lack of female hormones results in inflammation, oxidative stress, and cellular damage in order to alleviate the symptoms. Ian explains scientific reasons and deconstructs the incredibly complicated mechanisms that lead to numerous physiological issues throughout the audiobook. Ian advises taking five realistic actions to address the mind-body link since they will significantly improve the quality of life for menopausal women. I suggest this to everyone who is interested in learning about and comprehending what happens to the female body during menopause.

As a male, It was a more scientific read than anticipated but I understand why. I learned a lot more about estrogens!!
And the hippocampus which is critical to understanding menopause. And learning about cardiovascular diseases’ part was vital along with oxidized stress.

This was a tough subject to listen to. Surprised!

Purchased this audiobook for my mother in law who has been struggling with Menopause, and has spoken often about how she feels her "Body mind connection" isn't what its used to be. She's been listening non-stop, and has shared a number of times how not only validated, but informed she feels from listening. Would recommend for anyone in a similar situation, or is just trying to get a handle on their own menopause.

Powerful guidance

Though I am yet to attain menopause, I have close relatives who experienced a really tough period in the pre-menopausal and menopausal phases. Many had to resort to hormonal medications for relief. I was interested in non-pharmacological means of finding relief and this book has answered all my questions. I particularly love the way the author took time to explain the symptoms of menopause and contributing factors to them. Highly recommended.

Great book!
