While not as strong as season 3, and you could argue there are quite a lot of coincidences that happen in this volume, it is still very fun, especially the second half. Ruijerds' trust in Rudeus spoke a lot for their bond over this arc, and seeing how calm Rudy acts under pressure was humorous. Rudeus saving an entire village of Beastfolk after being their naked captive was fun, and it was cute how protective Eris got over him when she found out what happened. Our protagonist bonding with a sacred beast was also a surprise, and so was the extra chapter, ‘Guardian Fitz.’
