I'm too impatient to wait for the next season of the anime, so I began listening to the audio book and I'm glad I did. The story is expertly told by Cliff Kirk and he really brings the story to life. Now yo start the next one.

The story begins now! Just wow was not expecting the direction this was going but my interest has peaked all over again

One of the best volumes so far

I didn’t expect a volume capable of beating volume 12 for me this fast, but alas, here we are. Every chapter, it felt like the world and wonder increased tenfold, and I couldn’t help but continue this one at a faster pace than I usually do.

The introduction to Perugius was as scary as you would expect, and it put a lot into perspective with how poorly he treated Ariel and how much he genuinely expected Rudy to try and take him on in a fight, with all his guards there too.

Zanoba solidified himself as one of my favourite characters of all time in this chapter. I couldn’t help but love him throughout, and he even got the most heroic and badass moment too, willingly ready to die for Rudy, taking on an Immortal Demon King.

Being reunited with Kishirika also put a smile on my face, as did yet once again being reminded just how loving and caring Sylphie is. Her jealousy of Nanahoshi was cute, and the twist that followed, causing her to completely break down, was scary, and it was sweet that Rudy prioritised calming her and making sure she didn’t fall into despair (like he knows he has too many times). Nanahoshi coming out of her shell and showing genuine care for the other characters in this volume was also a welcome development.

Rudy fighting his first mage, who was experienced in combat against other humans, was interesting, and Rudy creating his own type of magic was also exciting. Perugius showing up to one-shot the final boss of the arc was also funny and satisfying.

But then, just when you think the bumpy ride is over, the next ‘Turning Point’ happens, which will immediately make you want to start the next volume, an insane twist.

We also get another chapter about Eris, finally becoming a Sword King and ready to return to the arms of our hero, after a spectacular fight with Nina. An insane volume throughout.

Worldbuilding and gripping revelations

Can’t believe it’s only 9 hours
Story great
And I like the different voices so the narrator is creating a act that make you feel like a fly on the wall
But it does help with a good story

Pls make the (books) longer or combine them

Is to short
