Summary
The new self-development programme from the author of the smash best seller The Chimp Paradox.
All of us face challenges, rough patches and struggles in life. And during these times we are often our own worst enemies, experiencing unwelcome emotions, thoughts and behaviours. The one thing that has stood out to Professor Peters in his years of supporting people as a Consultant Psychiatrist is that no matter what you may be facing in life, if you have the right mental toolkit in place then you will be able to cope - and even thrive.
Now, the best-selling author of The Chimp Paradox, has created a structured, practical self-development programme to help you attain psychological health and wellbeing. Professor Peters explains complex neuroscience in straightforward terms with his Chimp Mind Model. The eight stages of the book will help you to focus, empower yourself and lead you along a path to robustness and resilience.
“I sincerely hope that you will find the book helpful, and that the jungle of life will become much more manageable, as you find your own inner strength." (Professor Peters)

The Haynes Manual For The Mind
If you loved the original chimp management book, you'll love this.
Yes it's long and quite complicated at times, but so are we.
A book to revisit and keep as a reference to how our noggins really work

Love it, get it, follow the path!
Big fan of the original paradox, this brings it all together. Bought the paperback for reference and use the audiobook to provide reminders while commuting. Helped me understand myself but more importantly the people in my life in chimp mode. Also plenty of support on the website to fill in any gaps. Should be part of the school curriculum!

A bible for the 21st Century
This book, read and written by Prof Steve Peters, is a seminal piece of work for those attempting to navigate their lives, live their best life and present the best version of themselves to the world.
Bringing together all that we know about the science of the mind and putting it in an easily accessible and understanding language with rafts of examples to evidence and support the system for management, it is essential reading for those on a journey of personal development who want to help themselves.
I start the Mind management skills for life on-line course with the Chimp management team tomorrow!

Life changing
I wish I knew a lot of the skills that I’ve learnt through this book when I was much younger. It’s taught me a lot about myself a lot about others. It’s quite possibly one of the best personal development books I’ve ever read and I have read quite a few.

Fantastic
This is approx the 20th book I have listened to on Audible and is definitely the best. It has given me so much peace of mind and understanding of why I react the way a do sometimes. I recommend to anyone who wants to build up their resilience to negative situations and respond better.
