Summary

The number 1 best seller read by David Tennant.

Once there was Magic, and the Magic lived in the dark forests. Until the Warriors came....

This is the story of a young boy Wizard and a young girl Warrior who have been taught since birth to hate each other like poison; and the thrilling tale of what happens when their two worlds collide. Xar is a Wizard boy who has no Magic, and will do anything to get it. Wish is a Warrior girl, but she owns a banned Magical Object, and she will do anything to conceal it.

In this whirlwind adventure, Xar and Wish must forget their differences if they're going to make it to the dungeons at Warrior Fort. Where something that has been sleeping for hundreds of years is stirring....

Brilliant.

Both my son and I enjoyed listening to this book. This was helped greatly by David Tennant narrating and using lots of different voices. The story was excellent and had lots of new magic folk to get to know. Would highly recommend to anyone 8+ years old.

Where is the next one???

I loved this book so much it is my new favourite book better than Harry Potter and that is saying alot for me. Yes it is a children's book but I think a adult can still enjoy it.
Anyway i am now waiting for the next one.
So give it a go it will not disappoint

BRILLIANT!

My children and I have absolutely LOVED listening to this book and can’t wait for the next one. Super characters and unlikely heroes. Plenty of action and tense situations but all very appropriate for all ages of children.

An awesome book

This book is a real thriller it can make you jump a few times with explosion sound affects but I would recommend the age to 7+. There's
two mane characters called Wish a warrior and Xar a wizard who go on an awesome adventure together with an enchanted sword.

Great fun!

I enjoyed this book - comparisons are always odious but I couldn't help but compare to the dragon books - but I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the dragon series. That said, I will certainly be looking out for the sequels and I am sure I will enjoy the development of the plot. Witches are most certainly not extinct......Superbly narrated by David Tennant who uses his bottomless repertoire of different voices to bring the story to life.
