This book was amazing and i enjoyed it so much i have allready bought the series on audiobook and am allready on the third book. I just cant get enough.

Wow hats off to Angie Sage for this wonderful story of friendship, magic, family and adventure. I was hooked from the start and had to download all the rest of the books immediately!! Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys stories about magic.

It was a fun story, with interesting characters and a wonderful performance.

What does Allan Corduner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I found his character voices great fun, particularly Marcia Overstrand and the Tom Jones sound-alike Alther Mella!

Though there were parts of the story that I felt were over-described and under-described respectively, this first book of the Septimus Heap series had an utter charm that was difficult to criticize. Kids will adore the book for sure, and adults who appreciate whimsy and wry humour will forgive the predictable storyline and fall into the journey. The narrator's voices are pleasantly rural for the most part, making for a distinctive and interesting narrative. Overall, an easy and enjoyable indulgence of a book.
