BREATH TAKING SERIES

What an outstanding ending! and a shocking one at that, there were a few editing mistakes and the first half of this book dragged on a bit, but the second half was so epic. All in all this trilogy has been AMAZING, one of my favourite book series of all time. Loved all the characters so much.

Please Provide the Full Series

This was a welcomed addition to the series. The narration was great as usual, though this version has a few “extra” practice lines from the narrator that must’ve been missed in edit.

Overall the story was well paced, save the 3rd act which felt forced. It was hard to keep up with all of the *spoilers*. There were also moments when Jack just feels lucky (more so than usual) and it’s not because he’s earned it, it’s because he’s the protagonist. Other characters who were much deserving of an arc suffer the fate of not being the star of this story and that is unfortunate. For the first time in this series, I felt as if I was watching a network series instead of reading a kid’s version of “Shogun.”

Despite that, I’d like to see the rest of this series offered on Audible. The narrator has great voices and Chris Bradford has started a character journey that I would like to follow through to the end.

lots of death

I liked all the training, but I’m more into happy endings. I liked learning about Japan and Samurai and Ninjas, but too many friends died.

The next books aren’t audiobooks anyway, and so I won’t pick them up.
