About this listen

Enter a city where death, fear, and mystery walk together hand in hand. A city in which wealth or status holds no bearing as to your survival. A city whose inhabitants are a mixture of the innocent, the guilty, and the unnatural.

The Kingston Chronicles is a collection of four urban horror novellas set within the Victorian city of Kingston:

  • The Midnight Man: The night is dark, the wind cold, and soon a man will be murdered. He cannot be left to live; his end is written in the stars. The Midnight Man approaches. Pray your eyes don't catch him as he does.
  • The Good Doctor: Of all the things that haunt mankind, for some, sickness and ill health are specters that are justly feared. In turn, those who despair from such afflictions cannot help but consider doctors and surgeons bulwarks against such terrors. How terrible it must be, then, when one falls ill with something incurable.
  • The Blood Train: In an age of steam, coal is king for fueling many of man's great inventions. It is only natural, then, that the machines that transport such material across the world are considered the kingmakers of their time. With the worth of a single man fading to these engines, it will not be long until the value of life is worth little in comparison.
  • The Finger Pot: Much is unknown about fear. It has been part of mankind throughout time. Yet, it is curious that something so universally felt by all can manifest itself to each individual in a personal and terribly unique manner. To accept and resist fear is natural, but both such actions always have a price. It is a rare thing indeed to encounter fear without it taking its just toll.

Great stories and excellent performance. The Victorian era is a good setting for short horror stories, especially during Halloween season.
