Summary

The first book in a new series spanning worlds and ages. A war is raging between gods and demons, with an unstoppable interdimensional terror - THE BLEED - destroying everything it touches. From ancient alien civilisations through to modern day London, through to deep space and beyond, nothing and no one is safe. The Bleed wants flesh. It wants to destroy life. It wants to be worshipped.

London: next week.
The Bleed strains at the edges of reality, and God has come to help Earth make a stand against the demons from beyond, but it's going to come down to one frightened kid to save the entire planet from a blood-soaked fate.

The moon: sometime in the future.
A covert mission to colonize the moon is Earth's last chance. The mission is going well, until the brand-new technology used to operate the colony begins failing mysteriously. Will the survivors of Earth's civil war be caught up in a larger conflict they couldn't ever know anything about?

Another world: another time.
The gods of this world left to fight the Bleed. The war raged on the horizon, at the very edge of this reality. One morning there are screams at the shore and the red tide arrives. The war against the monsters of the Bleed is no longer forgotten history, it's happening now.

It Always Bleeds Through. Three Worlds. Three Authors. The Mother of All Apocalypses.

Dreadful accents ruined fantastic book.

The English accents are dreadful, they made it hard to listen to this book. It would be a 5 star but the narrator when trying to speak in an English voice is comically bad.
The story is great & very entertaining. But the accents really bring you out of it, making you hate parts.

Great new series!

Two of my favourite authors have come together with a new author to me and written the start of a fabulous new series. I love the characters, the concept and the story. It feels fresh and original but with the great writing and characters of three experienced authors. I can't wait to read David Moody's works now. And of course I can't wait for book two of The Bleed.

Good narration if you can ignore the dodgy English accents. They certainly didn't spoil the story for me.

Amazing

I'm not even sure where to start with this review, this story is nonstop action from beginning to end. If you're familiar with Philbrook, Tufo and Moody this falls right in line with their writing styles, but the collaboration is something truly beautiful. The biggest suprise was Scott Aiello. I'm not sure how he does it, but his narrating is something of pure magic. The way he alters his voice for each charecter makes it hard to believe that he's the only one narrating.

Ok, the story (without spoilers)...God's, but not in the sense you may be used to. The God's are a race who have strengths, weaknesses and agendas. They are all preparing for The Bleed, which is telltale sign that they are losing the war with the demons. The story is split into three sections. You follow characters on the moon (Fuck you Sandra) as they flee a failing station. You will follow two half-gods as they track down the secrets of their mother and you will follow Jenny as she makes first contact with a God.

Every story will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Waiting for P2 and P3 till 2021 is gonna be torture.

I'm hooked like a freshly born crack baby!

I loved it. Short introduction narration bit was slightly tedious, but everything else was awesome!

If 2 authors can write a cool book, how about 3?

It does start off kind of slow like a train as it struggles to find the steam to get out the station, but once it picks up speed it has you firmly engrossed in the characters as you start to notice little correlations in between the 3 authors stories and it really started to make me think of Dr. Who, especially with the wonderful cliffhanger that all 3 authors punished us with. I truly hate cliffhangers unless the next book is to be released rather soon because you've built up all you emotions into this book aaaand it's like they just slammed the door in your face. I just hope book 2 is not going to be a long wait.

Pure Perfection

So I'm not familiar with David Moody or Chris Philbrook but absolutely love Mark Tufo's writing. In most books with multiple authors there is always a clear division of writing styles and its just doesn't seem as cohesive. This is not the case for this book. This book felt like it could have been written by one person even though there are three different stories going on. It was easy to follow and really get into.

The authors did such a great job with the story and character development that they feel like real people you get invested in. I do love how even in this series Mark can bring a little of Zombie Fall out to the series through the mentioning of a very painful death scene.

This book will have you wanting more!
