Great perspective

I loved the author’s point of view on why people binge eat or emotional eat. And after realizing that this is a nationwide problem that needs real fixing, I’m so happy to see a book that’s really aimed to helped people!

awfully narrated, not actionable

The narrator can not pronounce BINGE. BENGE and BENGING or even BENCHING was heard throughout the entire book. It's highly irritating for a book where the very topic is not even said the right way.
It seems to go through a lot of garbage/ basic stuff before getting to the point. Wanted actionable, helpful book to help someone in need. Not the one for me. Returned.

I really enjoyed this Audible book

I guess I was naive in my thoughts surrounding food. My eyes are open to so many scenarios - the addictions that rise from foods and the difference between emotional and binge eating etc m

Loved it

I loved this book! It taught me a lot about my eating habits and why I was behaving the way I was. And most importantly, it’s helped me hunt down the culprit as to why I was always eating at night!

Informative, but not always accurate

The narrator pronounces the word “binge” as “benge”, and since this book is about binge eating disorder, it’s hard to overlook.
There is good information in this book, however multiple times, the author equates being overweight to being unhealthy and slim/not overweight as healthy. I find this mindset extremely damaging overall, but especially in the context of eating disorders.

Unscientific and misleading

Painful to read as a scientist, many "facts" presented are wrong, no fact-checking was done.

<br />There is no secret code

Content had a few good nuggets, but was mostly a rehash of standard dieting tips. Narrator had this annoying habit of pronouncing the word binge as "benge", which i found very distracting.

Good content. But no real actionable steps.

Very Wikipedia like read. I was looking for something more like the 5 second rule book (which actually helped me). It can be summed in a few sentences. Binge eating is unhealthy and if you cant stop, get professional help. That's my impression.

Poor basic advice

I listened to this book after Never Binge Again, and this one is, besides couple of good advices in the middle of the book, just a lot of repetition and unnecessery background story. Binge eaters need as much practical advice as possible. its not in this book

Not Helpful

Nothing new, so not very helpful. I got the impression that the author was just restating information. Her pronouncement of the word binge as “benge” was a bit annoying, but mostly I just found the book tiresome. There are several positive reviews for this book, so it might be worth a read to some people.
