Darker than I expected; as funny as I expected!
I love Jonathan on Quee Eye and this book basically makes you feel like you are spending hours in his bubbly, life-affirming company. It was a lot more moving than I expected, with some really heart-wrenching moments and enlightening passages. I think bullied youngsters would benefit immensely from this book, such an inspiring story but also a light, funny read.

Beautifully told, heartwarming and uplifting
I’ve listened to my fair share of audio books now, and this has to be one of the best. Jonathan’s performance is so natural, yet powerful - I didn’t want it to end. Genuinely felt they were just chatting away with you, but in an eloquent and fun way.
Very moving in parts and you could truly feel Jonathan’s emotions during those moments.
Couldn’t recommend enough, even if you’re not familiar with them from Queer Eye!

I loved it and now I live JVN even more
I loved hearing JVN's story. It had great pace, wasn't self indulgent and was as beautiful and humble and entertaining as you see on TV. Obvs with loads more honesty. I love how inspiring JVN is with his honesty and humour and realness

relatable
though not a part of the LGBTQ+ Community. but I related with struggle, lost of oneself, self sabotage, and the general struggle to except and love yourself. Over The Top is so realtable in so many ways, and even if not in experience, you will find yourself somewhere in Jonathans words

Fascinating!
Such a good read, JVN brings his everything to this book! You don't need to be a Queer Eye fan to enjoy this, Jonathan is beyond an interesting, intelligent individual who brings real emotion to this read.

A fantastic book and story
I enjoyed every second of that book and would 100% recommend it.
To answer his question of if I would still love him after hearing his story: totally!

Perfect JVN realness
If you love JVN you will love this book. A real insight into his life, uplifting and funny. Made me love him more! Easy to listen to and his recognisable voice carries you through the stories painting a wonderful picture as you go. Highly recommended.
