Good science bundled with annoying social justice
The book starts well, with a bit of biographical information that informs us why he is trying to help people live longer, and goes into some excellent science on the topic. I was fascinated by the history of his research into his own theory of ageing, how his and other theories have played out over time, and the current state of play. Unfortunately the final section is pure social theory, unsupported left wing talking points and climate alarmism presented as fact. Honestly when he makes statements about how he is proud he is of his son, who wants to become a social justice activist and politician, and that the world needs people like him to break the "global patriarchy" - then goes on to wonder at why his son is depressed and doesnt value his work to increase lifespan... well.... lets just say I'm suddenly re-evaluating everything else Sinclair says. I'll take his expertise on the science of ageing, but I think I'll pass on the rest. Damn shame, if he had spent the time focusing on the science, rather than pushing a social agenda or placing arguments down only for a specific demographic, the book could have been great.

only two takeaways and allot of story telling
so to save time, restricting eating or intermittent fasting and take mnm and resveratrol. done your most welcome. book started well with an impacting intro but in the end especially towards the end of the book I had to speed it up to get to anything of note and at the end it was mostly about the writers visions and sales to government to give more funding.

Not especially to the point
I expected a learning resource from this. Instead, this is filled with little anecdotes about the authors life as well as countless name drops. I don't especially care for someone's rather boring academic life story. The entire book could have spanned a single chapter, or maybe he should have stuck with writing journal entries.

Some interesting information
I read the book from cover to cover. I think the information he provides needs to be taken with a grain of salt, not the one about the possibility of expanding or lifespan funny enough. I actually liked DR David Sinclair before reading the book but at a certain point I felt a major brainwash coming and I was right, when he started talking about how safe GMO’s are and how amazing Bill Gates is he completely lost me. I understand to live naturally is hard or even impossible, but we all know the doggy things in studies published about GMO and withdrawn after heavy lobbying from GMO companies, or do we?
Funny enough even the University he is representing has fallen in my eyes, it makes sense now what sort of games they are playing and as always... money talks!

drawn out into a "book" that should be a podcast
This book was like putting needles under your fingernails. So painfully elongated and drawn out narrated with the most monotonous voice ever imagined.
Honestly, the core information that the author had could have been easily compressed into a podcast instead of going on a tangent to talk about unrelated themes.
I had high expectations for this book and sadly it was not worth my time at all.

This book will change your life and the world.
A lot of people are going to talk about the book. Get in ahead of the curve and read/listen to it now.
In David's own words this book will be out of date in 2/3 years because the science of longevity is evolvibg all the time. Which is a good thing. And I hope is get some revisions in a couple or years.
David has also taken the time to speak the book himself which is very time consuming and he should also receive merit for that too.
This book is amazing and definitely worth a listen.
I really hope a lot of people from governments and health organisations get to read/listen to it and talk about it. If this book doesn't change the world David Sinclair definitely will. It's science fiction coming true again just like self driving cars and free energy is also coming true.
I heard about the book from Dave Asprey and Dr Joe Mercola who's books are also worth a read/listen.

Heady aspirations.
Life extension research and it's implications.
Personally I enjoyed the science parts at the beginning of the book. The implications of longer lives felt like it was turning into a sermon and went on too long for me.
On the whole exciting science though and Dr Sinclair definitely has the enthusiastic voice & experience to rally the charge.

It’s a beautiful book to listen to; and I can see that David Sinclair will be written in the history books as the man who fought to convert 21st century medicine scholars into focusing on ageing as a disease, rather than wasting so much of each countries taxed funds on individual diseases. Life-changing
The knowledge shared in this book really is life-changing. If, and that ‘if’ is becoming stronger every day, we will live to much older age with vibrancy and our wits, we have to reconsider everything, from the way we look after ourselves to the way we impact the world.
This book was very well-written, without hyperbole and embracing critical analysis. Dr Sinclair did a fabulous job of delivering the audio version as well.
This is a strong recommendation.

Must-Read If You're Interesting in Healthy Aging
Coming from a perspective of someone who studies evidence-based nutrition, exercise, and healthy lifestyle factors for over a decade now, this book is a must-read. Solving aging is one of the final frontiers for humankind, and the information David has provided here is a big step in the right direction. It has the power to bring more awareness to solving aging as well as shift strong limiting beliefs that have been deeply rooted in public as well as the scientific community. We've come very far in research, but sadly the mainstream still hasn't caught up as many of the theories often mentioned have already been invalidated. Big thanks to David and his team for putting together all the most up-to-date longevity research in one place.

David Sinclair brilliantly explains that humans will largely expand lifespan, it is just matter of time. And why probably this will have huge positive impacts to the world.
