This book is a life saviour to any woman who finds herself in any abusive relationship and as a must help other women.

Absolutely necessary book for women

This book is an absolutely essential pep-talk for women. But by the same token, in my opinion it doesn’t fully acknowledge the true mastery and utter skill of the dangerous man as being the main party to blame in some of the described toxic relationships. Women surely need to apportion some accountability for the relationships they get into, and have the skills to exit them sooner, I totally agree. But someone like Lundy Bancroft offers a far more insightful perspective into the blame that lies firmly with the dangerous men, in books like ‘why does he do that’. I appreciated this book for what it is, but I feel it’s way deeper than just the ‘woman making bad choices’.

We do need to look at ourselves, but it’s not all our fault for making bad choices
