Summary
A brand new stand-alone romantic comedy from the best-selling, award-winning team of Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy.
Hosting her brother's wedding for an MVP guest list is the challenge of Jess Canning's life. Already the family screw-up, she can't afford to fail. And nobody (nobody!) can learn of the colossal mistake she made with the best man during a weak moment last spring. It was wrong, and there will not be a repeat. Absolutely not. Even if he is the sexiest thing on two legs.
Blake Riley sees the wedding as fate's gift to him. Jess is the maid of honor and he's the best man? Let the games begin. So what if he's facing a little (fine, a lot) of resistance? He just needs to convince the stubborn blonde that he's really a good boy with a bad rap. Luckily, every professional hockey player knows that you've got to make an effort if you want to score.
But Jess has more pressing issues to deal with than sexy-times with a giant man-child. Such as: will the ceremony start on time, even though someone got grandma drunk? Does glitter ever belong at a wedding? And is it wrong to murder the best man?
Caution: May cause accidental aspiration of tea or coffee. Do not listen in a public place where loud laughter is inappropriate. Contains hot but hilarious hockey players, puppy cuddling, and a snarky pair of underwear. Cover art copyright Okay Creations.

Humorous and enjoyable.
Loved Blake! He was annoying, arrogant, juvenile, charming, larger than life and hiding such a huge heart, caring for friends, family and furry critters all at the same time. A good story worth listening to. Will make you laugh out loud as well as cringe. Loved it.

Love this series!
As the first book in the WAGS series, or the third book in the HIM series, Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy continue to have a winner. Meeting Jess and Blake in book 2, we got a glimpse of their personalities, especially Blake. He is the wise-cracking, fun friend who lives upstairs from Wes and Jamie. After a one night stand, Blake and Jess can't seem to let each other go. While no huge climactic scenes, but the story itself if pure entertainment. There is some drama with Blake's past that needs to be handled, as well as Jess coming into her own. The family interaction from both sides is the best part of the book for me. I love Blake's mom, she is larger than life, much like her son. Love seeing Wes, Jamie and the team as well, it gives such continuity to the story.
The two narrators are wonderful. I love them both. Tanya Eby gives Jess that warm voice with some angst as she runs through her crazy life, and Teddy Hamilton is the gruff and sensual Blake. The two compliment each other well.

Cute and funny
A nice, easy read. Blake was hilarious and SO cute. If only real men were like him. Sigh.
I’d love for there to be a follow-up book just so I can find out where they end up and what happens to evil Molly, ha.

I didn't get very far in this one but the main leads were horrible people and I had to quit.
maybe I'll give this one another go in a while but for now I'm done.

What the heck is Toronto Red?
The main male character is a hockey player playing for the NHL in Toronto. That team exists. It’s the Maple Leafs and their logo is blue. I don’t know why the main female character keeps going on about Toronto red nail polish and lipstick and glitter that is the same shade as the logo. It just bugged me.
Also, the main male character is annoying. I think he is supposed to be written as, like, an overgrown child or puppy or something, but he’s kind of awful. He continuously inserts himself where he isn’t wanted, does careless things and is completely un-self-aware which we can tell from the chapters from his point of view where he is congratulating himself for his brilliant ideas and decisions. I got this book because there is another one in this series that focused on Wes and Jamie. Unfortunately this one didn’t measure up.
