There's a spark missing for me 😕

Loved Teddy Hamilton's contribution as Carter. He gave Carter 'life' and was so enthusiastic...Jacob Morgan/Zachary Webber on the other hand sounded as flat as a pancake as Tommaso, seemingly reserving his enthusiasm for his female 'voice' and other team members. Didn't feel as though the ex-wife thread really added anything to the story, although it was nice for Tommaso to get closure and soothe his guilty feelings.
Think that book 3 may possibly be about new transfer in, Jethro Hale? Good to catch-up with Hudson and Gavin from The New Guy.

Loving ALL the guys!
Really enjoying this series - loved Tom and Carter - hoping for more…….. please! Soon! Teddy and Jacob are brilliant together as always - maybe we’ll get Coach or Stoney’s story next? Love how we still hear about previous characters too - keep up the brilliant work Sarina! X

Fantastic, funny, perfect
I loved this book. Great storyline and so many funny comments. I will never forget sporting. Just fantastic and brilliant narration again by Teddy & Jacob.

Great sequel - But can be a standalone
I have been waiting for this sequel to The New Guy and I’m Your Guy doesn’t let me down.
Loved the MC’s and the story just made me not want to put it down!
I finished this in 2 sessions as just needed to feel the love x
And bring narrated by 2 of my fav’s Teddy and Jacob they were NEVER going to disappoint xx

Amazing narrators, started strong but left wanting a bit more
Pros
I narration was truly brilliant, as it always is with these two. Listening to Teddy & Jacob is like snuggling under an old, familiar blanket in the best way. Jacob especially really captured my attention in this book - he uses a cadence in his voice that I’ve not heard before. Can’t really describe it but it’s like a softness at the end of sentences that really captured the melancholy of the character. Beautifully done.
I loved the banter and cute moments between these two guys - especially during the first half of the book. I love how Carter captured Tom’s interest in furniture & design by using fun videos etc.
I felt emotional during several moments - especially Carter witnessing his friend’s love and wishing it for himself.
A few funny / warm fuzzy moments
Cons
The sex scenes were not what I’ve come to expect from Sarina Bowen. The first one was good but the rest were too short and at least two fades to black half way through! Disappointing. Could have scrapped the scene with the ex wife and explored the intimacy between the two MMC instead IMO.
The disgusting behaviour of the main villain / antagonist went largely unpunished. I liked how he was kind of made to look ridiculous but they deserved more consequences.
Overall it was a cute, fun & easy read but sadly no where near the awesomeness of previous MM books by the author - Him / Us, Top Secret, Goodbye Paradise & The Best Men are still four of my biggest re-listen books. This one doesn’t pack the same punch so I recommend those first if you haven’t read them.
No announcement on the third book yet (or if there is one) but I’m hoping for Coach’s story.
Several appearances of Hudson & Gavin from the last book here which was nice.
