I eyeball read these books years ago and have recently listened to a book in the M&M New Recruit (second generation) series. Re-reading these now, I realize they are just as good as I remembered. I have gotten away from books written in third person, but I will make an exception every single time a Lexi Blake book comes up. This one follows Jake and Adam who become bodyguards for Selena. The suspense in this one rivals the steam as they both gather in intensity as the storyline goes along and has a very exciting climax. I can’t wait to continue with this series in audio.
As far as the narration, this was expertly handled. Ryan West is one narrator I will never sleep on. His talent at tackling multiple characters is a prime reason not skip over a solo narration. It was so easy to forget I was listening to only one person. The different inflections and accents were a joy to listen to and I look forward to listening to him in the next books in the series.

So Serena has her fair share of critics even her ex husband would condemn her for writing Romance of the sexy kind..Her career was one of the reasons they divorced and he is bitter about all the success Serena has had with her books.
Her fans adore her books but someone out there does not like Serena's stories and is threatening her,stalking her and Serena is afraid it will escalate into violence.It is clear that Serena needs protection,the Police haven't taken her concerns seriously.
SO she goes to Ian Taggart and his security company to ask for help,this is were she is assigned 2 bodyguards.
Adam and Jake..best friends and men who love to share.
They have been employed to protect her and keep her safe,but they end up taking care of her in a whole different way also.
Serena is wary of Adam and Jake when they confess they want her and that Jake is a Dom and basically they come as a package deal.
Adam is the more softer one he is extremely organised,easy to talk to and wants to find a woman that both Jake and himself can keep for life.He wants the fairytale marriage and children etc...
Jake is more harsher that Adam he likes to be in control,he hides his feelings and is unapproachable,he is kind of grumpy.
Serena can't believe these two men want her..she has no confidence in herself and is down on herself alot..But Adam and Jake change that they see the Beauty in her and let her know that.
But trust is broken between them..just when they were getting comfortable with eachother and Serena is finding it hard to forgive them.
All the while they try to win back Serena's trust and affection's the stalker is still loose and is becoming more destructive.
There is a twist that I never seen coming and I found it an enjoyable story..of course there is plenty of steam between them and BDSM comes into play as well as Jakes Dom side as both Adam and Jake show Serena a whole new world that she desires and wants with them.
Ryan West once again narrates this book and he really does an exceptional job at voicing ALL of the male and female characters in this book.
He is so perfect to bring this book to life with his voice and lively narration,I loved listening to him.
Lexi Blake has a wonderful imagination and I enjoyed her writing.
I am so intrigued about Irishman Liam and I am excited for his story.
The Men With The Golden Cuff's is a fabulous audiobook and I enjoyed it alot.
