Due to her divorce Deena is not looking for love or a relationship and her faith in men has been severely compromised. She has decided that she wants to have exposure to the BDSM lifestyle and decide if it is the lifestyle she wants however she had concerns about Eric being her training Dom due to the attraction she has for him.

After his career in the Navy ended Eric found himself working as a chef at Top. He has been attracted to Deena, his co-worker, since he first saw her so when he is paired as her Dom he believes it will give him an opportunity to not only show her the life is for her but that he is as well.

Eric is so supportive and understanding as he helps Deena heal from her past and show her that she is strong in all areas of her life and not just her career. Sebastian York was a great choice to narrate this story as he brings out both the heat and emotion between the characters.

This read was oh so good! We get Eric & Deena’s story who both work at Topped and O.M…Hotness!! The attraction between these two even from the go is crazy heigh but while Eric is so in, Deena is like NOPE! I loved how this wall she had up was broken down by Eric. He knew what he was doing and he did it well. And while Deena had been through it with an ex, she quickly learned that Eric was anything but! Honorable mention here for the secondary characters…I loved them all! Convos between the girls were funny but also real, when needed. Oh and the guys… hilarious! They were all strong and all of them screamed Dom in their demeanor but they all had quite the sense of humor. Loved it! This story was so freakin good! Highly recommend it!!

I am really enjoying this spin off series of The Masters and Mercenaries.
Taking place in the restaurant Top.
Eric Vail is the sous Chef in Top and has his eye on waitress Deena but no matter how much he flirts with her she seems to ignore all his subtle ways to get to know her and ask her out,
When he finds out she is a submissive in training he plans to be the Dom she needs help her with learning
Deena was in a bad Marriage now she is divorced she is determined never to be controlled by a man again,she wants to discover who she is.
Eric and Deena are paired to train together for 6 weeks which gives Eric the chance to show Deena that they are perfect for one another in and out of the bedroom.
Its not an easy ride convincing her..
Sebastian York narrates this story and Wow he does an Amazing job at performing all the roles in this story..Male and Female he has a way of just enchanting you with his Voice.
I LOVED it..and LOVED listening to this story.

We get another novella in the Masters and Mercenaries spin off and they are short and sweet (and spicy). We get the smallest snippets from these characters in the original series and I love the deeper dive we get in these novellas. I highly recommended following the reading order, including the original series because those characters play a prominent role in this series as well. While not necessary, it definitely adds to the experience.

I really love a scarred MMC, especial one that maintains his confidence. Eric holds his own with the McKay-Taggart men and, as they all do, has succumbed to his attraction to Deena. While it took me a bit longer to warm up to her character, I eventually did and enjoyed the taming process.

Sebastian York is one of my go-to narrators. I admit, in my eyes (or ears in this case), he can do no wrong. He really nailed this solo narration and made this a non-stop listen for me.

Just One Taste is a short, spicy, angsty, forced proximity, found family, BDSM romance. I really enjoyed Deena and Eric’s story and I found it hard to pause this audiobook. Sebastian York was great as the narrator in this audiobook and my only complaints are that the book was too short and the it was in 3rd person POV.
