Not a lot happens to Julie. Since her husband died, the closest she’s come to a romantic encounter is being ogled by Brian across the road. With her son preoccupied elsewhere, there’s not even anyone to come home to anymore, apart from a glass of wine. That all changes when an unexpected visitor comes to stay and brings a host of problems with them.

Before she knows it, Julie has been unwittingly drawn into a murder investigation, thanks to her nuisance neighbor Mrs. McGrath. With a penchant for rubbing people up the wrong way and a novel approach to detection, the pair don’t have an easy task ahead of them. But in the face of a clearly incompetent police detective, someone has to see that justice is done.
