Summary
Juno Browne is a self-appointed domestic goddess. From cleaning to dog-walking to caring for the elderly, she flits around the picturesque village of Ashburton in her trusty van ready to turn her hand to anything. Despite warnings to the contrary, she ventures into the shady world of antiques dealing when she takes on a new client, Old Nick, who has a reputation for conducting business by the back door.
When Juno prevents two menacing thugs from giving Nick a beating, it’s clear one of his deals has gone horribly wrong - and it isn’t long before Nick is found dead. As the police search for answers starts to stall, Juno begins her own investigation. But when one of her suspects is killed and Juno is herself the subject of unwanted attention, she must piece the puzzle together before she becomes the next victim.

Lovely Story
Great descriptions of people and places. I’m not from Devon but could picture the bar, antiques market, etc. from similar places near where I live. It was easy to immerse myself in the story.
The narrator was really good.
Now starting the next in the series

Great story with marvellous characters
This tale manages to be intriguing as well as amusing. A cast of interesting, believable and lovable characters, even some of the rogues. I like the fact that the protagonist, Juno is a young, independent feisty woman having to work hard for her living. Even more interesting if you know Devon

excellent
I particularly enjoyed reading about an area that I know well.
it is good when an author is accurate and doesn't change locations too much a very good read.

Good First Outing
Enjoyed this. Well written with good characters and easy to follow. That is a big plus for me. I have issues following complicated story lines. It is I suppose cosy. But not so much as to be sickly. Well read by a good narrator. I'm off to try the next in the series...

enjoyable easy listen
This is my first listen to this series and I did enjoy the story however i did find i got a bit bored at times when listening to the social story of the book, good plot and a gentle twist did keep me going, very good narration
