Katherine Coleman Goble Johnson is one of the most important pioneers from the American space movement. She is a physicist and a research mathematician who has calculated orbits and trajectories for historic space missions. This includes the first flight to walk on the moon. In addition, she has assisted in developing navigation systems to guide astronauts through space. Without perseverance, her career may have never left the ground.

Truman relieving General Douglas MacArthur caused a bit of an uproar amongst the American public. His motives were to limit the conflict in Korea, resulting in his decision to remove MacArthur. General MacArthur was full of ego and flair, and issues between the two were inevitable. When the Korean War first began in June of 1950, MacArthur had fantastic military strategies and maneuvers up his sleeve. He used these to keep South Korea protected from communist invaders in North Korea. MacArthur urged to enact a policy to defeat North Korean forces entirely.

So far, scholars who have been trying to determine how many Native Americans lived on the North American territory before the arrival of Columbus estimate the number to be between 1.2 million and 18 million people.

Born in Brooklyn, New York City, Ruth Joan Bader is the second child of Nathan and Celia Bader, Russian Jewish immigrants, who lived in the Flatbush community. The Bader's older child, Marylin, passed away at age six when Ruth was still young. At age 13, Ruth acted as the "camp rabbi" at a Jewish summertime program at Camp Che-Na-Wah in Minerva, New York.

Philip Hampson "Phil" Knight (born February 24, 1938) is an American mogul and benefactor. A local resident of Oregon, he is the co-founder and chairman emeritus of Nike, Inc., and formerly served as chairman and CEO of the business. In November 2015, Forbes called Knight the 15th wealthiest individual in the world, with a projected net worth of US$ 28.1 billion.

Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was born on 30 November 1874. He was an heir of a noble family of the Dukes of Marlborough. His ancestor George Spencer, a member of the aristocratic Spencer family, was proud of his consanguinity with John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, so he has decided to choose Spencer-Churchill as his surname when he took the title of Duke of Marlborough in 1817.

Fixer Upper is a popular reality television series on HGTV, starring Chip and Joanna Gaines and based in Waco, Texas. The pilot episode first aired in May of 2013. Season one began nearly one year later, in April of 2014, followed by the second season in January of 2015, the third season in December of 2015, and the fourth season in November of 2016. Before starring in Fixer Upper, Chip and Joanna Gaines consulted with clients on purchasing and remodeling homes.

Josephine was born in New York City to a Prussian Jewish household; her daddy was a baker. They transferred to San Francisco, where Josephine went to dance school as a lady. When her daddy had trouble discovering work, the household relocated with her older sis and brother-in-law to a working-class tenement. Josephine escaped, potentially as early as age 14, and took a trip to Arizona, where she had an "experience." She might have shown up in Prescott, Arizona as early as 1874.

Rosemary Kennedy was born at her parents' house in Brookline, Massachusetts. She was the third kid and very first child of Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. and Rose Fitzgerald. Throughout her birth, the physician was not readily available and the nurse commanded her mother to keep her legs closed, requiring the infant's head to remain in the birth canal for 2 hours. By Massachusetts state law, the Binet intelligence test was provided to her prior to first grade. Due to failing this test she was held back twice from kindergarten.
