A BRAND NEW totally addictive psychological thriller with one of the most astonishing twists you’ll listen to this year.

‘My baby’s been taken,’ I sob into the phone. Blood is everywhere.

My fiancé, Alex, is slumped beside the birthing pool, his head gashed open. The baby? Gone.

I cradle my empty stomach, my empty arms. And then Alex looks at me — not with love, but with blame.

This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. The move. The fresh start. The antenatal classes. The new friends. But nothing about this feels right.

And as the sirens wail closer, I realize something terrible — someone planned this. Someone in our new life wanted our baby.

And I think they’re in the baby group.

This addictive thriller full of twists is perfect for fans of Alice Feeney, Sue Watson, Jane E. James, Shalini Boland, Sonya Bateman and Valerie Keogh.

This was an ok listen. Totally far fetched, unrealistic and ridiculous at times, but well narrated and an easy listen. I did get frustrated with the narrator a lot, she was just so pathetic.

Ok as a freebie

Very well written and read novel. Great plot and very relatable characters. Thoroughly enjoyed the reader’s portrayal of characters too

Scary stuff!

This is definitely worth a listen as an audible plus story, as it’s quite entertaining. Wouldn’t want to spend a credit on it. The narrator was good although all her male voices sounded the same. The story dragged on a bit but if you stick with it there’s a lovely little twist right at the end.

Not a bad listen.

The narration was good, the story was an ok listen but tbh i feel like the twist was a bit obvious. I guessed early on who it was and what was going on. Their was a few bits thats was unrealistic , like a uniform policeman leading a kidnapping case. The fact that the information at the end wasn't found out by the police. Also the spark between the main character and the police officer, talk about taking advantage of the vunerable. The protagonist has a bad Fawn response. overall its worth a listen for free but i wouldnt waste a credit on it.

to obvious

Loved this performance and story. The feelings of despair in pregnancy were very real, and the gaslighting within the book, - of being told that what she was feeling was in her head when they were not - was triggering for me. Regardless, I loved the book and narration. The ending was great too with additional twists.

Loved it - but very triggering
