The intimate biography of the iconic DJ who was lost too soon.
Tim Bergling was a musical visionary who, through his sense for melodies, came to define the era when Swedish and European house music took over the world.
But Tim Bergling was also an introverted and fragile young man who was forced to grow up at an inhumanly fast pace. After a series of emergencies resulting in hospital stays, he stopped touring in the summer of 2016. Barely two years later, he took his own life.
Tim: The Biography of Avicii is written by the award-winning journalist Måns Mosesson, who through interviews with Tim's family, friends and colleagues in the music business has intimately gotten to know the star producer. The book paints an honest picture of Tim and his search in life, not shying from the difficulties that he struggled with.

Sensitively written….
A sad outcome to a beautiful life, with an otherwise uplifting story for all those left behind, to understand the all to common stigma of silence, in a world where too many feel isolated and alone. Thank you Tim.

Insightful, and interesting human story - loved it!
A wonderful thoughtful book about a life lived, loved and lost. The narrator conveys the words brilliantly and creates colourful pictures of Tim and the life he lead. The way that the songs are woven into the timeline made me realise how much Aviciis music influenced me in my life. A sadly missed genius from the world of music.

Incredible

Eye-opening story of a true inspiration
Loved Tim's music and melodies and his music has been a big part of my DJ career. I finally took the time to listen to this, and it was a very emotional, yet fantastic, story about Tim, his life, and his unfortunate struggles. Thanks!

A great insight into the chaotic life of Tim
This was a well researched & executed book. I grew up listening to Avicii and always knew he was a special producer. Everything he touched turned into gold!
It's also another fine example of the importance of being true to yourself. All the money and fame in the world is not enough if you are not fulfilling your life's mission.

Great insight to Tim’s Life.
As a super fan of Avicii I have already read this book when it was realised. I wanted to listen to this audiobook so I didn’t miss anything.
You can really vision everything described in the story and if you have seen a Avicii True Stories a lot of what’s shown there is described in more detail here. I cried for the second time after reading this story. All proceedings go to the Tim Bergling Foundation also which is another reason why I chose to listen to this Biography again.
If you are not familiar with Tim, this story will make you fall in love with his personality and his talent 🙂

Such a sad book
I appreciate the opportunity to familiarize myself with such intimate parts of his life, although it is my understanding that not everything in the book is factually correct. Moreover, it’s not written very well.

Great book about Avicii's life
This book is amazing. It talks about Avicii's life from childhood until his unfortunate death. I didn't know much about Avicii's life until I read this book and it showed me what kind of a person he was, fragil, kind and used and abused by the music industry just for profit. Very well narrated, interesting, it tells you all the good and the agly about Tim without hiding any details. I recommend it.

Amazing
Just finished listening too this amazing story. The person who reads is very good and I enjoyed the accent since Tim was from Sweden it just made the story that much more intriguing. Great research and amazing story telling highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of avicii or someone who is into the edm scene. Also vey good at telling the struggles of addiction rest in peace to Tim and too all of his fans this book is a must.

A story of life, not fetishisation of tragedy.
This is an excellent performance of an excellent book. We all know how the story ends and if you don't a 1 minute Google search will answer that for you. This book intentionally leaves out some of the most public details and instead uses the vagueness to put us in the minds of Tim's friends and family. I found the telling to be honest without being disrespectful.

Emotional trip down memory lane
I was a huge fan of Avicii’s / Bergling’s from 2011 onward. My friends and I saw him in concert countless times and often planned trips just to be able to catch another show. Each performance was incredible and mind-blowing — easily my best memories in the EDM scene.
Even though I was merely a fan of his, Bergling’s death still shook me quite well; I’ve struggled, sporadically, with some of the same issues he faced, which made the tragedy hit all too close to home.
I watched and enjoyed “Avicii: True Stories” when it first came out but also felt like it was missing some necessary details. Of course, there’s only so much you can include in a two-hour documentary, but, still — I was hungry for more. Fast forward to today and we have this book, “Tim.”
Oh, man, where to begin? It’s got a little bit of everything, including some closure. For fans, it recounts Bergling’s entire rise to stardom — not just the years after which he’d already reached the top. For the curious, it provides more details around his addictions and medical crises. And for the mental-health-focused, it delivers a powerful (albeit sad and emotional) message about helping others with anxiety and depression.
It goes without saying that no book can ever truly bring a loved one back or cure all wounds, but this one certainly comes close. It’s a warm and familiar trip down memory lane at times and a harrowing recollection at others.
Fans will love it for the musical tales and effective writing, while mental health advocates will respect it for its pulling back of the curtain. Thanks to the Bergling family and the author for putting this one out there. The world is a better place for it, and I am very grateful, too.

Powerful
Super powerful and well written biography of Tim Bergling. Really touches the heart and brought back a lot of great memories of seeing Avicii perform. A must read book if you are an EDM fan and experienced the scene during his peak years.

Best Bio I ever had the pleasure of reading 📚🙏
This was the best biography I've ever had the great pleasure of reading! I recommend to everyone and anyone that is an Avicii fan, musician, or generally just like to read biographies. The writer has really done an incredibly amazing job in researching the life of Tim, and his rise to fame. I enjoyed every second of it! The voice of the reader is also warmingly chill, and I used to put it on before bed, and fall asleep to it, only to wake up the next morning and go all the way back to where I started my sleeping session, so I wouldn't miss anything. Love the book, the reading voice, the artist and the author. Can't recommend enough! Massively Enjoyed it, and the only sad thing about the experience now is that I've had it, and can't unhave it. Might be good to mention that this was my first audible book experience as well, and I am greatly pleased! I'm also Norwegian, so sorry for any misspellings. Have a great read 📚 👍 😀 👌 🤓

The story of a tormented man, without the proper explanations.
I’m a huge fan of Avicii and had been anxiously waiting for a decently written bio, and particularly, more insights on his tragic ending. This book tells you the story of Avicii’s tormented life, but fails to come to a conclusion of why Avicii decided to end his life. It simply states it as a fact. If you are looking for a deeper analysis, look somewhere else. Clearly, the family wants to keep some matters secret, which I respect, but you need to compromise on revealing more if you’re going to release an ‘official’ bio.
