This audiobook is a must-read for every parent and caregiver of a child needing special education. The book is detailed, easy to follow, and passionately shares the support and services your child needs to thrive at school.
Readers are taught that although the IEP is a specially designed program that addresses the unique needs of the child with disabilities, parents and caregivers need to know the operations to enable the full benefit of the services and support available to the child.
Prominent in the list of areas covered in the book are the accepted definition of disabilities and the 13 categories of disabilities covered under the IEP document, the legal rights of parents and children, the educational support and assessments available, tips and strategies for monitoring educational care, and other tips for resolving disputes.
I have highly benefitted from the rich content of this audiobook and would recommend it to all parents for full and proper accomplishment of their effort at advocating for their disapplied children.

My sister-in-law has the "Im too busy" mentality but Im a personal development nerd so I asked her if I can take notes for her on this book to support her with her child.

I passed her the notes I created while listening to this audiobook and her eyes swelled with tears and thanked me. She has found the Special Ed world difficult and mind-consuming but this audiobook and the notes written down for her breaks it down so well that she felt at ease and like she had steps and plans that would finally support her.

Wow, what a guide! Growing up with dyslexia was difficult. My parents didn't have the resources that are out here today. My husband had some speech challenges as well. He's an engineer and I am a copywriter now!

This amazing guide is now my handbook for my two children who are currently in EI for their cognitive and phyisical challenges. I feel well equipped to prepare them for a future of positivity and support using the tools I learned in this book!

I highly recommend this book! It takes alllllllll the stars!
