I struggle with anxiety, and overthinking is one of my worst habits. I have been through many years of therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, so many of the lessons in this book were familiar to me. That being said, it is always good to have reminders of important information. I have heard the tenet that thoughts determine feelings which dictate emotions many times, but hearing it again is always helpful as it is a crucial point in CBT. Other tricks I had forgotten about were progressive muscle relaxation and gratitude prompts for journaling. It is always beneficial to add things to your mental health toolbox. Whether you are a seasoned mental health warrior like me or a new-to-the-subject listener, this audiobook is packed with helpful information to regulate your emotions and regain control of your life.
