Summary

Miracles are happening. Pray to God they stop.

In the dead of winter, on a highway in Quebec, a man crashes his car and survives. In New York, a homeless person is run over by a bus and lives. In Tokyo, a teenager jumps off a high rise building and fails in taking her own life. All over the world, miracles like these transpire, and people breathe a sigh of relief.

But for the next week, some people will begin to suspect a terrible truth. A handful will even search for it. One man will find it.

And in seven days, all hell will break loose.

Note: Graphic violence and language.

PJO was too annoying as the narrator

I wish I'd considered the reviews that stated that the narrator was too annoying. The story is great, the author is, as usual, brilliant and the only reason I made it to the end... But I do wish it was read by someone who could do the story justice... BEWARE!

Not as bad as some reviews

The narration isn’t that bad really. Yes it’s a bit robotic and initially irritating until you get used to it. But the character voices are very good and make up for it. I’m a huge RC Bray fan but he wouldn’t have been any good for this story. Overall a good original story.

So worth sticking with ..thumbs up

Look, I've got over a hundred audio books and narrators make or break the experience for me to the point that I will listen even to a bad story.. so DO NOT get taken in by the bad reviews... this guy hits his stride after a few chapters and does an amazing job with the characters and truly defines them as individuals.. great story and very good narration. A quirky twist to all you believe.

I don’t normally write reviews but I felt I needed to in this case, as the one review I read wasn’t very encouraging at all.
Yes as the other person had said, the narrator sounded very mono and boring, but unlike the other person I persevered and was so glad I had. The boring mono tones of the narration was just that, it was the parts of the narrator which was portrayed like it, the rest was amazing. The narrator skipped from one character to another with not a hitch. The story unrolled before me and I found it very hard to stop for a break. I would like to tell you more than I really can about the story itself but I wouldn’t want it leave anyway spoilers, all I can really say is that it has a very quirky twist to what you believe and understand of the way of the world, space and time. The story and the narrative makes you feel and love most of the characters, I even found myself crying at times.
Overall it is a really good book and well narrated, so if you are not that sure about it at first, preserver as it’s well worth it.
As for the other reviewer I suggest you try again. Keith Blackmore is a wonderful writer, with an amazing mind to come up with the story lines he has created. All of his books I have listened to all in my views all deserve five stars.

Another great story

The narration is a little of putting at first but stick with it and he comes into his own. Another great story from mr Blackmore

exceeds all expectations

Brilliant plot, excellent characterization. Would have been happy for the book to have been twice as long.
The narrator was excellent and totally suited the theme of the story.

Meh not up to normal standard.

Some what disappointed takes a very long time to get going and just slowly plods along.
The narration is not the best the accent use for the new found land character is enough to delete the book straight away
