Summary

A warrior with a secret. A band of cutthroats. And a monster of legend.

Battle rusty from the war infirmaries, a company of Sujins, the heavy infantry of Sunja, march north. They guard a mysterious koch destined for another land. Whipped by the murderous Rusk the Two Knife and led by the enigmatic Bloor, the only cavalier to survive the Field of Skulls, they will march into the unknown, and arrive at the teeth of hell.

And only one man will possess the skills to bring the survivors back.

A story of heroic fantasy. Some graphic violence and language.

Great read

I just plain enjoy Blackmore’s books. The story is great, the narrator does a wonderful job of drawing you in & I look forward to his next creation. You know a book has drawn you in when you think about it after you have stopped listening or reading it.

My opinion:Blackmore,is the best in the business!

“The Troll Hunter” solidified my growing hunch, that Keith Blackmore is the most talented and entertaining author in the business! I have all the “big names”,1100 fantasy titles in my library-Keith is the only author, I can state: has never disappointed. Granted,”The Song of Ice and Fire” is just not fair to compare to anyone, but GRRM’s other stuff ,has never appealed to me. Especially, his forays into different genres. Judging by the reviews of other customers-I am not alone...
Keith Blackmore has never disappointed( at any subject he chooses to tackle)! The dude is a bottomless well of talent!
Write on ,Mr.Blackmore! I will be ready to grab up whatever you got for us...
Spread the word about Blackmore,so you can claim:”you knew him when”...

Equine Slaughter Romance

This is a sad addition to the wonderful 131 days series. It should have stayed unwritten. The book is a strange mix of predictable romantic hero and heroin interplay mixed with an obsession with gruesome equine slaughtering. Bad mix to say the least.

Wow!

I can’t recall the last time I disliked a character only to end up feeling sorrow and liking the character at the end. I hope this is the start of a series because the characters have been given a back story so great!! This was a different type of story that I usually don’t follow. I’ve fallen for it and I hope there are more books in this series!

Not for me! Not even John Lee could save this.

I came into this with an open mind because I saw John Lee, I said well it started out great and I liked it at first. Then the author wanted you as the reader or in this case the listener to like the monster of a princess who terrorizes the people around her. I say give me my credit back, please. I ask this question of the author then, do you want me to like Hitler because he was a failed artist and feel bad for him because his dreams of being an artist are crushed as he is killing and ordering the deaths of millions? This could've been so much better, but the turn of forcing the listener to empathize and feel anything but hate for such a monster is wrong and it caused me not to be able to focus on the story due to you trying to ram that bitch down my throat, while telling me to like and feel bad for her because she has everything she wants but has to stay in a guarded castle and have 24-7 guards. PS remember you might be royalty but the rest of us commoners don't feel bad for a spoiled brat with a golden spoon, so don't try to force us to feel bad for one.

Great story

Unique and fast paced from start to finish! Was sorry to have it end. As usual, John Lee narration was amazing. Definitely for adults, lots of gore and rough language. Hope there are more coming!

enraging

I hate sad endings. Having your heart ripped out is not fun, however I believe that is the objective of this story. I get enough reality in life I dont need it in my entertainment.

least excellent book so far

I absolutely love mountain man and Keith's other work. This book is bad and the next book should be book 1 in the troll hunter series. You are a good writer, did you like this or were you under pressure? I honestly feelt you think we will buy anything you write without regard to quality while reading this. you write ball scratching art,but it's still art. Someone fucked up your windowpane.
