About this listen

A warrior with a secret, a ruthless band of cutthroats, and a monster of ancient legend converge in this fantasy from the author of the Mountain Man series.

It’s a time of war. After years of relentless battle, the tired nation of Sunja realizes its spine is close to breaking. Desperate for aid, the country’s king dispatches a company of soldiers to the north in a desperate plea for help from its neighbors. A Sunjan cavalier called Bloor has the unenviable task of leading the mission. His doomed and divided command will soon discover it’s not the war-torn northern wilderness—or the legions of hated Nordish soldiers—they need to be on guard against. A much more sinister threat awaits them, just out of sight of Sunja’s high walls, one that threatens to rip them all apart—and swallow them whole.

The Troll Hunter is a story of heroic fantasy from the bestselling author of the Breeds and Mountain Man series.

As the title says I liked the book, but the narrator felt like he was struggling with reading it stumbling on words

Good story terrible narrator.

Hunt the most vial creature ever. That would be a troll. Think not? Well have them eat your loved ones and think again..

Such a vial beast needs a new hero.

Fantastic story with lots of twists, character development and great narration. Slow start but it builds. Not sure what genre it is but I’d call it historical sci fi.

Give it a go!!

firstly narrators are important they can kill or make a book, this chap has gone on my golden list and i will be seeking more narratives from him.
i loved the malcontents books by blackmore.
i this again ticked all my fantasy reading/listening boxes.
i was a bit worried it was going to be a testosterone, gut spilling decapitation, with some amusing insults fest, but i had already become involved with a few of the characters.
then suddenly the story backtracked and the story flowed.
over to soon,i dont normally do stant alones, but glad i did for troll hunter.
thankyou again my blackmore

a twist that for once i didnt predict
