Summary
A warrior with a secret, a ruthless band of cutthroats, and a monster of ancient legend converge in this fantasy from the author of the Mountain Man series.
It’s a time of war. After years of relentless battle, the tired nation of Sunja realizes its spine is close to breaking. Desperate for aid, the country’s king dispatches a company of soldiers to the north in a desperate plea for help from its neighbors. A Sunjan cavalier called Bloor has the unenviable task of leading the mission. His doomed and divided command will soon discover it’s not the war-torn northern wilderness—or the legions of hated Nordish soldiers—they need to be on guard against. A much more sinister threat awaits them, just out of sight of Sunja’s high walls, one that threatens to rip them all apart—and swallow them whole.
The Troll Hunter is a story of heroic fantasy from the bestselling author of the Breeds and Mountain Man series.

Listen up you maggots
Good story with interesting well developed characters. Wasn’t quite sold on all of John Lees voices but that’s subjective. Would recommend for anyone who likes earthy low fantasy

Great story
when I first listened to this I couldn't get into it as there are a lot of characters in a short space of time ... I made the effort to start again after about an hour and that's the point where it all clicked! it's a really good story and it takes a good while to decide who the hero's are all the characters have something about them .... well worth a listen but if you are like me and often listen in the background while doing something then I suggest really focussing on the first few chapters to learn the characters as it's well worth the effort
narrator is perfect

Give it a go!!
Fantastic story with lots of twists, character development and great narration. Slow start but it builds. Not sure what genre it is but I’d call it historical sci fi.

Such a vial beast needs a new hero.
Hunt the most vial creature ever. That would be a troll. Think not? Well have them eat your loved ones and think again..

One of this Author's best
This Author is excellent. This is a stand alone story set in the country of Sunja which the Author has used for many of his books. The author is excellent at describing battle scenes and likes to kill off characters at a regular basis so you never know who will survive in his books. All the characters are excellent and 3 dimesional theres a love story in here but it does not get in the way of the action. I have found with many fantasy author's the first book starts off brilliantly and then I am bored by the 2nd or 3rd as they allnstart to fit a common pattern. However with keith c blackmore you never really no which diirection the story is going. Also his charcaters are not usually a bunch of super powered prople trying to sace thw world which seems to be the standard in fantasy nowdays. I really think this author is original.in his writing style. Excellent narrator who has a good range of voices I actually prefer him to R.C Bray who is also good and did this author's mountain man series.

Another masterpiece
As always the author is different class from any I’ve seen or heard. I like how it’s an extension of 131 days. I love the characters, all of them. It can be a little slow at times but the quality of writing more than makes up for it. I highly recommend buying this book along with all of his other books, you will not regret it as I have listened to each book at least 8 times! I look forward to every book this author writes, a true master.

Damn you Keith!
A great story. with so many twists and turns you'd think you're riding a corkscrew!
There's a lot of POVs in this book and character you'd immediately dislike, end up being some of your favorite...though I loved Alduin right from the start and his drunk scene just made me like him even more XD

a twist that for once i didnt predict
firstly narrators are important they can kill or make a book, this chap has gone on my golden list and i will be seeking more narratives from him.
i loved the malcontents books by blackmore.
i this again ticked all my fantasy reading/listening boxes.
i was a bit worried it was going to be a testosterone, gut spilling decapitation, with some amusing insults fest, but i had already become involved with a few of the characters.
then suddenly the story backtracked and the story flowed.
over to soon,i dont normally do stant alones, but glad i did for troll hunter.
thankyou again my blackmore
