Beautiful - A fine end to the story.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Ballymara Road to be better than the print version?

Yes

What about Emma Gregory’s performance did you like?

I love her ability to make all the characters come alive & be easily recognisable.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes - most certainly

Any additional comments?

The three books in this series have all been a real pleasure to listen to. The story lines weaving throughout all three are as real as her characters. I loved listening to them and no doubt will return to them again and again.
Starting with the middle one of the three I didn't realise until I finished it and looked for more by the author. I then listened to The Four Streets followed by Hide Her Name - for a second time. When The Ballymara Road was published I decided to listen to Hide Her name again before listening to the final episode. BRILLIANT !

There are three books in this series. This is the last one

Lovely three books but I would really like them to be marked as such. I did not notice and started with this one. After I bought the other two I had to relisten to this book, it made more sense the second time round after I had listened to the other two.

Well read and a very beautiful sad, sometimes funny story.

Fabulous crafted story

Artful, sensitive and gritty story based on historical reality of abuse in the Catholic Church. But intermingled with the joyous human spirit born out of poverty and and repression. The characters were amazing and you were drawn into the situation and story by the artful narration which was superb.

Complicated relationships

I found it difficult to keep track of the numerous characters and to remember the relationship between them all.

another great read.

Having read all 3 books in the 4 streets, this 3rd one tied the characters lives and misfortunes up very well. The narration was great too.
