Story
Anna Moder has just witnessed a shooting, seen her car pulverized, and rescued a wounded stranger - only to discover he's really a werewolf. And by her recent standards, things are actually looking up. Lycanthropes don't faze Anna. Doctoring a wolf pack outside Grundy, Alaska, is the closest thing to home life she's known in years. But hitching a ride to Anchorage with long-absent pack member Caleb Graham - that's a risk. Part of her itches to whack his nose with a newspaper. The rest is trying unsuccessfully to keep her own paws off every delicious inch of him.

When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate - he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in 19th-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”

This book has EVERYTHING!

Summary
Generations of werewolves have been secretly residing in a secluded valley a stone’s throw from Grundy, Alaska. So when a snooping Outsider comes to Grundy to investigate rumours of lycanthropic shenanigans in the area, the valleys pack alpha, Maggie Graham, resolves to chase him away, even if doing so takes a quick bite on the butt. What a pity that researcher Nick Thatcher turns out to be so drool-worthy, and that his kisses make Maggie want to sit up and beg. Maggie just can’t seem to convince Nick to leave... and even worse, she can’t convince herself to stay away from him. Cross-species dating is problem enough for a harried alpha female, but on top of that, a rival group of werewolves is trying to move into the valley.
With interpack war threatening, Maggie can’t afford to be distracted. Combining romance and a career can be tough for anyone; for a werewolf in love with a human, it may be disastrous….

Fun but not as good as the first
I got this book as part of a 2 for 1 audible deal- after listening to a few minutes I started to suspect that is wasn’t the first book in the series. I decided to spend a credit buying the first book and cross my fingers that I liked it enough to continue listening to this second installment. Thankfully, I really enjoyed the first book in the Naked Werewolf series.
This second book centers on Maggie. I enjoyed the continuing story of many of the characters we met in the first book, but I didn’t think this story was quite up to the same standard. The plot was even more predictable and Maggie didn’t crack me up in the same way that Mo did in the first one. Enjoyable- but not particularly memorable.
Note to audible: What’s with putting the second book in a series in a promotion but not including the first book? Really annoying!

Not as good as the first
I am saddened slightly to say that while interesting it was nowhere near as good as the first book. Maggie spent so much time thinking about sex and bemoaning the number of cute men going on, fantasising about Nick that at times I was bored. However; it did provide a much-needed extension to the lore of werewolves and how their reproduction, pack structure worked. Making it informative with an interesting if somewhat forgotten and lackluster back plot at times. I wish more had been done of the pack takeover part and the attempts to kill Maggie with less into the I am horny; need a man.
It was nice to see that Samson and Cooper all played rolls within this book as well but it did not resonate anywhere near as well or have the same sort of comedy that I am used to seeing within the Molly Harper books. I hope the next one is better.

Any additional comments?
Really enjoyed this sequel to the first book! I loved Maggie and Nick and the fact we got to see more of Mo and Cooper! I loved their little girl Eva!
It was a fun book and while in the last book we learned more about Grundy and it's residents, in this book we learned more about the pack and it's working's. It's a different kinda pack to Jolene from the Jane Jameson series' pack. I had a lot of laughs reading this book and hope we still get to have an update on some of these characters in the next book!
It was interesting to have the same pack that caused problems for Cooper and caused him to live apart from the pack causing trouble again but not in the way you think when you realise who they are. The real troublemaker was unexpected but I like how the pack trouble was resolved in the end. Looking forward to book 3!

What a Hoot!
I recently finished listening to 'How to Flirt With a Naked Werewolf" so purchasing 'How to Flirt With a Naked Werewolf' was a given. The second instalment was just as much fun as the first. This is real holiday listening, all entertainment and fun with no brain power required. Amanda Ronconi's narration is a perfect fit for Molly Harper's witty writing style. I've already added everything else available by this pairing to my wishlist and look forward to many more hours of light entertainment.
