An excellent audiobook!

An excellent Audiobook! I'd like to extend my thanksgiving to Rios for making this guidebook. With this guide, I have a better understanding of Sports Psychology. Listening for over 7 hours is all worth as I've learned lots of things. It simplifies the most important aspects of keeping a healthy mindset while participating in sports, and it is very well narrated by William Bahl. I recommend this book to everyone who is involved in sports because I feel that only positive outcomes can arise from listening to this. If you are looking to up your game in life, this course is essential for the path of developing a champion mindset and train for optimal performance. This is exactly what I needed.

Don’t waste your time and money.

- It seems to be narrated by a voice generator. Terrible listening experience.
- The quality of content in this book is very poor, full of cliches and over used quotes, lacks any original ideas or thoughts.
- I got through 45 minutes of the book and counted the term “mental toughness” being used over 50 times. It was over kill!
- It sounds like a 7 hr 30 minute cheesy American infomercial.
- Could have been written by a 15 year old GCSE student, for a 15 year old GCSE student.
- Hard to believe this book was released in 2019 especially when it suggests boys are known to be mentally tougher than girls because they are brought up not to cry or convey emotion.

Awful book - not about sports psychology

It's an awful book to be honest. Barely about sports psychology and has very little factual or scientific evidence in it. It's split into chapters that have nothing to do with sports psychology

Absolute trash. Sounds like it’s read by Microsoft Sam

Absolute garbage. William Bahl should be ashamed at how utterly terrible he is at a task as simple as reading.

Don’t waste your time or money

So I’m only 15 minutes into this audio book and already living with regret. The narrators voice is monotonous and mechanic and I’ve just been informed that I naturally am not mentally tough. Because I am a woman. WHAT?! The sweeping and sexist generalisation is mind boggling (it hasn’t upset me, just mildly annoyed me- before I’m accused of fulfilling a prophecy!) I’ll continue listening if only for a laugh...

Great resource

A book worth listening to! This was a very insightful book to help with my performance as an athlete. Great stories, insights, and most importantly actual knowledge and real-life tips. The information in this guide is easy to grasp and clearly focussed on potential problem areas.

Epic takes lots of concepts from various scientific disciplines, such as behavioral psychology, physiology, and from the field of hands-on coaching, and brings them in an accessible and entertaining way. The author and narrator's directness and sense of humor are making the book fun to listen to.

In this audiobook, you'll learn the strategies for building mental toughness as well as how these strategies apply to nearly any situation where emotional strength and mental grit are tested.

In general, it is an excellent book for anyone looking to broaden their understanding of themselves and their sport and the relationship they have with it.

Great series of psychology books!

An awesome guide to Sports Psychology! This Sports Psychology for Athletes 2.0: Develop a Champion Mindset and Train for Optimal Performance book will show you the four sections to develop/build a winning mindset for achieving optimal physical and mental performance.

The first section is to develop a resilient and unbeatable mindset for achieving success and any goal in life. The second section will show you how to train like ancient Olympic Athletes and build a well-proportioned athletic body like the ancient Greek Warriors. The third section goes over how to easily get lean and fit with intermittent fasting. The fourth section gives you amazing tips, strategies, and techniques for optimizing your health and fitness lifestyle.

These four sections go beyond sports. The lessons contained in this book are practical and easy to use for athletes or non-athletes. Through it, I've learned how to control my emotions especially when I feel so much stressed and even when having strong negative emotions.

In general, it was quite informative and helpful to anyone who wants to build self-confidence and develop mental toughness.

Wonderful guide to have

This book gives a very good introduction to Sports Psychology. Most of the topics are specific and all related to sports psychology. My favorite part was how to become your own coach and self-motivate yourself to push yourself beyond your self-limitations in chapter Mental Toughness. It felt stunningly true. In reality, practicing with the team could be very boring and you could lose the main picture easily. It is always good to find a mental boost to not lose faith and this audiobook was a good help. Looking forward to listening to the next one.

Offers great advice

This audiobook offers great advice to defeat all the fears that hold us back from chasing our dreams. I'm not at all a sports guy, but the backdrop of sports sets the stage for valuable golden nuggets about how to be a better person. I bought a copy along with the kindle version so I can hand the books down to my kids as they get older and learn the lessons early in life. Overall, I have enjoyed and learned from it.

Inspirational guide

I can say that this is an inspirational guide for young athletes that illuminates the importance of training the mind, body, and spirit to maximize their athletic potential! I've enjoyed listening to this audiobook with my 14-year-old son. We've had great conversations around the timeless lessons explained in the story. I'd recommend this book to any parent trying to instill a can-do attitude in their children.

Good insight to Sports Psychology

Good insight into the professional player’s mindset - I have found several findings in the book very useful. Not every one of my teammates is open for such a listen, but it helped me to switch thinking. Before listening to this book, I thought that professional gamers are just guys practicing more, but the truth is, they see the game and team play differently.
