Summary

An original novella set in the Halo Universe and based on the New York Times best-selling video game series!

Find. Claim. Profit.

In a postwar galaxy littered with scrap, it's the salvager's motto. And with a fast ship and a lust for adventure, Rion Forge has certainly made her mark on the trade. When the discovery of a wrecked UNSC cruiser brings Rion's past back to haunt her, stirring fresh hope into a decades-old wound, she's hell-bent on finding answers: What really happened to her father and his ship, the Spirit of Fire? This novella also contains the complete text of Kelly Gay's short story "Into the Fire", originally featured in the collection Halo: Fractures.

great story for all halo fans

it's short but very sweet and will leave you wanting more .This is great but I feel it would be better if own a few halo books before you get this to get what's going on and why. it links up with a few things from other story's. otherwise worth the time.

Scott is still boring

It was a good book but Scott Brick is still very boring compared to Euen Morton from the kilo 5 trilogy.

More Scott Brick....

title says it all. I am really not a fan of Scott Brick's performance, all his characters sound the same. He is nowhere close to the worst, but I wish these halo books would branch out to other narrators again.

A damn good Gap filler

short and sweet I just want to say that this book not only explained a lot of missing things with both Halo Wars and with the newer Halo series with four and five but it connected the two finally and further got me hyped for a future title that my return to a Halo game with more of a Halo feel and that is ultimately what everybody wants whether they know it or not. Thanks Audible and thank you to everyone else that helped make this happen!

Crazy

This is an amazing story and great warm up to halo wars 2. The story is actually engaging and keeps you wanting more. Performance could be better.

Short but entertaining

Wished it was a full blown novel. Overall well written for the length of this piece.

I love Halo Cannon and Lore! This book connects with "Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2" games and nicely done!

Emotional

It's a very good story that fills in some gaps of the Halo universe. Really sad at some points. Overall, it's a very compelling story.
