Summary

Discover how to relax around food and free yourself from a lifetime of dieting.

The dieting industry makes it seem like losing weight is some sort of rocket science, a top secret combination of special foods eaten in special ways and all kinds of expensive superfoods, fitness fads, and embarrassing celebrity endorsements. And so it's understandable that when someone seems to stay slender, it must obviously be because they're just naturally that way. By accident, even. We assume some special innate characteristics mean they get to run circles around the laws of physics, eat junk food, and end up with flat abs and a bum you can bounce coins off.

The truth, though? Nobody is naturally thin.

In fact, when somebody claims to be naturally one way or the other (naturally slim or just naturally bigger, without anything they can do about it) what they are actually telling you is that they have a lifestyle that naturally leads to either a healthy weight or overweight.

Nobody can fight the laws of physics, but people are born with different temperaments, different life philosophies, and different attitudes toward food. Look at a thin person, and what's likely the cause is that they think about food differently, and because they do, they behave differently when they eat.

Naturally Thin: The 7 Eating Habits Naturally Thin People Have, but the Diet Industry Never Talks About will help you to:

  • Transform your entire relationship with food
  • Gradually lose weight and keep it off for the rest of your life
  • Let go of magic pills, shakes, and other stuff the dieting industry, colleagues, and that skinny YouTube chick want you to believe in
  • Explore and understand why you eat when you're body isn't hungry
  • Take responsibility to love, respect, and nourish your body
  • And much more!

enjoyed listening to this book

Let me tell you the best part about this book. I have listened to a lot of Personal Development books, and with all of them, it seems the author was a "coach" or "success" first, and then thought..."Hey, I'm going to write a book about my success principles." With this book, Ingrid Lindberg is an author first, coach second. Her writing style is far superior than other books I have read. I kind of want to be her friend.

One of my favorites

This audiobook was short, sweet, and right to the point. I loved each habit. When listening to them they seem common and simple, yet few people actually put them into practice. Narrator has a very pleasant voice to listen to.

This has been the most logical and easy to list...

This has been the most logical and easy to listen to "Self-Help" book I have ever read. What I like most about this book is that it gives you the tools to actually implement the habits and theory into practice. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Informative

I thought the book was easy to get through and seems to ring true in my gut as to how we should behave; but that being said I believe a lot of it to be a tall order for people stuck in todays societal habits. With all weight loss suggestions, you have to really want it and be willing to sacrifice to get it! Which in my experience is the really hard part.

wow

The knowledge shared in this book was a true eyeopener for me, it's so painfully simple and common sense.

I have to be honest though, part of me likes the information and knows there is no way around this solution for permanent weight loss, apart from a lifetime of fighting, struggling and trying. But the other part of me wants to keep spending tons of money on magic pills and promises, just in case they work..

I have decided for myself to do the exercises that resonate with me on a daily basis to gradually shift my mindset towards food and myself *fingers crossed* It's to early to say if the approach works for me, but if you have a spare hour and are tired of dieting I can highly recommend to listen to this book.

@publisher/author, is there a Facebook support group?

worth a read

When reading these type of books, I always feel like you had to do what works for you. If you can find a small change that will better your life then it was worth it. All the tips are not going to work for everyone and it's too overwhelming to try and implement all of them. I found a few things that worked for me and make it worth the read.
