Summary
In theory, nothing could be better than a summer spent basking in the French sun. That is until you add in three teenagers, two love interests, one divorcing couple, and a very unexpected pregnancy.
Admittedly, this isn't exactly the relaxing holiday Leah Beaumont was hoping for - but it's the one she's got. With her sister Michele's family falling apart at the seams, it's up to Leah to pick up the pieces and try to hold them all together.
But with a handsome helicopter pilot staying next door, Leah can't help but think she might have a few distractions of her own to deal with....
A glorious summer listen for you to devour in one sitting - perfect for fans of Katie Fforde, Carole Matthews and Trisha Ashley.

Too whining to enjoy
Too whining. I disliked the whiny dialogue of Natasha she just grated on me and I had to stop listening. I also disliked the repeated 'baby number 3' analogy that was used too often. It became oh no not again for me.
Just too many teenagers arguing not enjoyable.

One of Sue's Best
Would you listen to Just for the Holidays again? Why?
Definitely - it's a great read with depth, warmth and romance.
What did you like best about this story?
Sue's stories always have good research as well as a good storyline. I come away having learnt something as well as having enjoyed the time with the characters
Have you listened to any of Julia Franklin’s other performances? How does this one compare?
It is very good. Her voice works well for Sue's stories.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If I had had the chance definitely.
Any additional comments?
An excellent book from Sue Moorcroft. It is realistic, believable and thoroughly enjoyable. I listened to the audio version and there were times when I found myself shouting at the book 'Nooo' when some bits occurred. I won't spoil it by telling you what. It is the perfect holiday read - unless you are going away with a very troubled family in which case wait until you get home! It is a great example of Sue's ability to write romance with some depth and believability and as always well researched. I always come away having learnt something - this time I know a little more about helicopters and their flying.

Awful Narrating
What would have made Just for the Holidays better?
To not listen with narration
What was one of the most memorable moments of Just for the Holidays?
Turning off the narration
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The screechy, little girl like voice drove me insane form the start, to the point it ruined it.so much I had to turn the narration off. The voice didn't fit the age or type of character at all. It was like listening to some rubbish radio play. I do normally like narration but will make sure I do not have this person again.
Any additional comments?
Please be aware that the narration can ruin a book.
