Perfect Relaxation Method and Stress Reliever

A great way to start a day or finish off an evening. Love how easy it is to meditate now. I make time for it every day and I can feel the different in my stress levels. Excellent!

One of the BEST meditation guide.

I must say, I am impressed.

I was really impressed with the content here. It's jam packed with useful meditations and I feel like it's perfect for meditating in your own spare time. It's a great way to become more mindful without having to go to classes. Wonderful.

Highly Impressive

I was intrigued by the value of this collection. It has exactly what is needed to practice mindfulness, nothing more nothing less. It's precisely what a person should do to become more present. It teaches and then gets out of your way. Brilliant.

Easy to listen to, great guide for beginners

I received this book for free for an unbiased review and I honestly think its a great guide for people who are interested in mindfulness and meditation. This book includes all sorts of different practices of meditation so there is a right style for just about everyone. I do have to say though, a few chapters get a little boring but luckily we can skip thru them!

Great for Beginners

Not only are the some helpful techniques, it give context and history. I loved it. Meditation has helped me get rid of my stress from my job and I have listened to several books about it. This one is one of the best so far that I hav used.

Excellent Primer

I did not know anything at all about meditation when I started, but I got enough information to know that there is much more to know, and that there is enough here to get started. It’s an excellent overview. I think it would be even better with an accompanying pdf of some of the more pictorial aspects of what was spoken about but these can be gotten in the internet if necessary. Also I think that for the exercises it’s a good idea to listen at slightly less than full speed, though he reader speaks very clearly and did a fine job. One minor quip is that though it mentioned Islamic and Christian versions of the mantras, it oddly neglected a long tradition of Jewish kabbalistic mantras and approaches. Not even a mention of it.

Great beginners guide to meditation

I really enjoyed this audiobook. It was very informative on all the benefits of meditation specifically the different kinds of meditations and simple steps to get started.

It detailed many types of meditations such as open monitoring meditation, mindfulness meditation, and focused meditation just to name a few. It even gave some of the historical context of the different types of meditation.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Amazing mediation start point guide!


Shortly speaking - this book is exactly what it's title says. And David Harris did a great job to summarize this information for beginners. Jonathan Fraizer is well understandab, doing good job here. I liked this book and I will definitely re listen it later to remind myself meditation technics.

Little bit more details.
Jonathan Fraizer is very understandable for non-native English speakers narrator. I am not a native speaker and sometime I have problems with understanding some narrators, especially with British or Irish accents. Jonathan reads really good, his voice is sooo meditating(you can even start meditation just by listening him).

The author shortly describes benefits of meditation, supporting them points by science researches and tips to achieve mindfulness. I liked the part with explaining mediation technics, didn't even know there so many of them.

What this book is lacking of, I think, is kind of personal experience of author, some personality( "10% happier" comes to my mind) . But because of this, this book is so short and useful information concentrated.

Overall, I would advice this book to my friends and will pass to my wife, definitely worth it!

Excellent help

A Must for beginners!

I find it is also great for those interested in expanding their knowledge base of the various types of meditation, and great tools on how to incorporate them. A must have book for anyone into meditation, and it’s been very well received as a gift as well!
