From multimillion bestselling Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Amazon and Audible author RR Haywood, creator of the worldwide bestselling Extracted, and The Code trilogies, the phenomenal Undead Series, and the heart-pounding thriller DELIO PHASE ONE, comes Fiction Land, a laugh-out-loud blockbuster adventure

"Imagine John Wick wakes up in a city full of characters from novels - That's Fiction Land"

A delivery driver finds himself inside a world occupied by characters from unfinished novels and must accept he is not real. But the world around him doesn’t feel right, and when he starts asking questions, the authorities soon take extreme measures to stop him finding the truth about Fiction Land.

Not many men get to start over.
John Croker did and left his old life behind – until crooks stole his delivery van, but no van means no pay, which means his niece doesn’t get the life-saving operation she needs, and so in desperation, John uses the skills of his former life one last time. While everything he thought he knew starts to unravel.

Another hilarious romp from The Boss!

Brilliantly read and brought to life by a very talented narrator. The first few chapters had me wondering where exactly this was going but we are soon in familiar territory of action, adventure and really well written, witty dialogue between these well depicted and adorable characters. Whilst the style is familiar the story is fresh and something very different and quirky.

Another triumph from The Boss and definitely one to add to your collection and enjoy again and again whilst waiting impatiently for him to write more!

We see you RR - please don’t do a Patrick Rothfus and leave us all hanging for a sequel! These characters are too alive to leave them there.

If you haven’t read R R Haywood then you are absolutely missing out! 10/10 *****❤️

the idea of unused fictional characters coming together

I enjoyed the entire book. The characters are quirky and likable, I love how other authors are mentioned and found myself thinking if I had read each book that was referenced. The narrator done an excellent job and as Alice said "Theres got to be a sequel"

The dog’s doodahs!

Once again Mr Haywood has knocked it out of the park.
At first I thought I wasn’t going to like it, but I stuck with it, because, well because Haywood. And sure enough, the reason for the cheesy American action hero narration (and I’m talking maximum cheddar, here) becomes clear.
Mr H’s genius is soon in full effect, with literary puns that make you both groan and laugh outloud, and with a hugely original story line that’ll have you pressing re play as soon as you’ve finished it.
The narration by Gethin Anthony is superb too. 10/10.

An absolute hoot!!

I found it confusing and a little disorientating at the beginning but it turns out there's a really good reason for it. brilliant storyline, lots of surprises and twists, great characters and narration. I don't really want to say more and ruin it, but read it if you fancy a giggle, you won't regret it 😁

Not for me

I’ve loved everything RR Haywood has written so far, listening to everything at least twice over. But this one just isn’t for me. Too chaotic. Narrator is very good though.

Awesome

What a cracking story. Another weird and wonderful addition to the Boss' library. I could 'see them' all in my mind, all the characters brought to life by both author and narrator. Brilliant idea for a book. Can't wait for the sequel.

This brilliant story breaks all the rules!

I loved every plot twist and nerd reference. We need a new genre for more books like this.
Adventure, intrigue, subversion, humor, action and a great group of characters to show it off.
We follow Jon and his friends through everyone's favorite stories and settings, hunting for bad guys who may or may not exist.
Brilliant to the final word.

Not what I expected — just a bit better!

Confession: I’m a Haywood fan. So I was really looking forward to this release and testing to imagine what nutso world he can up with this time. What I wasn’t expecting was a cavalcade of terrific wink-wink-nudge-nudge treats for loyal readers of a number of different genres. The story moves, the dialogue is fun, and a fourth wall or two is broken along the way. Looking forward to the sequel!

Utter nonsense

I like RR Haywood's writing. I've read his other stories and get excited when he has a new book coming out.

That said, I'm not sure what this was. It wasn't funny; the attempts at humor were forced and annoying. The storyline was silly, the characters flat, and overall, it was a waste of time.

I've also learned the hard way that Mr. Haywood doesn't know how to finish a story. The Undead Series - while enjoyable, has no end in sight. The Code Books, while technically the trilogy ended, was a hurried and unsatisfying conclusion that left the door wide open. This book's summary or listing did nothing to indicate it would be a series - and yet, no ending. He just can't do it, and it's disappointing to the point where I'm going to stop reading his books.

Best. Day. Ever.

What an awesome ride written in the style that I’m starting to believe only he can write. My first audible book and I did it because of Mr Haywood’s own recommendation on his Not a Podcast podcast. Great new characters. Looking forward to more, just like all of his books.

What a wonderful surprise

I had no idea what to expect but it turns out I really loved it. The author has a lot of unique stories to tell and I appreciate reading something a bit different now and again. He has another book called "A town called Discovery" that is my favorite and needs a sequel, but this was a close second!
