Really enjoyed this one, cracking pace, great idea and despite the author having done other time travel stories, this stands apart. As someone else said, stick with it (you'll find out..) as it's definitely worth it.

First of all I did read some of the negative comments and I get them.
I did like the Extracted series, ending aside, but it has been some time since I finished it.
I think this has enough original ideas to be worth reading it and it did make me laugh hard at moments.
It did come out 2 years after the 3'rd Extracted so maybe it is a continuation?
Anyway, I like it.
And it it the first in a new series so need to see what comes next.

I really enjoyed this story and Carl's narration is superb. This is kind of what I had hoped a spin-off of the Extracted series would be like, so I'm hooked!

What a fantastic journey! Excellent details in the fighting scenes and then heart wrenching details in the death scenes. Fantastic British humour! Superbly read, all the accents, quite brilliant.

I really enjoyed this book and found it compelling listening. Carl Prekopp's narration is excellent. His pacing of the action scenes was fabulous and combined with Haywood's descriptions I could see the action better then any movie could. For me this was one of those books where the hours passed quickly.

And also well read (English accent). A fast speedy read/listen but a few too many plot lines left untied.

But overall, not bad. Enjoyable accompaniment to my dog walk.

Gripping plot, relatable characters, dark humour, outside the box writing, elegant dialogue, it’s a memorable experience, it’s a R R Haywood novel. You should know this by now.
