Narrator’s voice is extremely irritating

Her pronunciation and cadence make her sound like a computer, not a human. And the word is “binge” not “benge”.

I’m not sure I’ll be able to listen to the entire book and will not purchase another book narrated by her.

The content is good

The content is good but the narration kept knocking my concentration. All I could concentrate on the whole entire time is how she could pronounce binging properly but kept saying “benge” eating occasionally pronouncing it correct so didn’t seem to be an accent issue.
Also contradictory on certain issues about being restricting but not being on a diet.

Powerful

Having struggled with emotional eating for 30 years, both of these books have really made sense. I would highly recommend both to anyone who has experienced their eating getting out of control. I am just starting out with the principles, but I feel extremely positive and know that I can change my habits. The ideas are logical but it was important for me to hear the process.

I stopped listening after blatant misinformation

I stopped listening after the author said, "and since people with eating disorders do not exercise..." (first book @ 1:39:00) What kind of bologna is that? Plenty of athletes have eating disorders, if something that blatantly wrong is in the book then I cannot trust the other information presented.

Additionally, the vocal tones and cadence sound like a robot.

Just what I needed to hear!

This two book set was super helpful for someone like me, a lifelong binge and emotional eater. The first book offered a lot of helpful knowledge about the difference between binge and emotional eating, details on what it can do to your body, and tips on how to deal with both.
The second book was on mindful eating, and I found that one super helpful. The concept of mindful eating seems so simple at the very basis - eat when you are hungry, stop when you are no longer hungry - but it can be so hard to put into practice for someone who has struggles with food.
The two books together made a powerful impact on my mindset, and I am really starting to feel like I can make changes in my life to conquer this eating problem. I will definitely be listening to this book again along the way as well as recommending it to friends who live with the same issues I do.

Eat mindfully is the secret

Eating mindfully is the secret. Once you start eating mindfully, you will find yourself a lot more satisfied and full after a meal. Mindful eating is powerful. I hope you take this information seriously and apply it!

Very good, helping and interesting.

This book teaches you how to change your relationship with food,with yourself and how to change your overall mind,shifting your thinking from food to other things.The winner is the one who can apply all these steps and change for good. I finished the book today and If I fail today I won't give up until I adapt the new habits if this book.

Not appropriate for treating eating disorders

While there are a few helpful ideas in the books, I had to challenge myself to complete the entire books. The tactics in these books condone eating disorder behaviors and efforts toward weight loss which is at the very heart of body image and eating disorders. As someone in recovery, this is Very sad to have this type of misinformation and “coaching” out there. This type of book is what keeps a lot of people struggling with food issues “stuck” in their destructive behaviors.

All you'll ever need!

I already knew quite a bit about nutrition and what foods are best for my body so after reading this book I realize that almost all of my problems with weight and digestion were due to mindless eating. This book set was great but I found the mindful eating bible part particularly helpful. So much so that I am going to purchase the physical copy to use as a reference. I highly reccomend this book!
